Title: Charming Historic Hotel with Exceptional Dining Review: Nestled within an aura of history and character, this lovely hotel proved to be a delightful retreat. From the moment I stepped through its doors, I was transported to a bygone era, yet greeted with modern comforts and impeccable service. The culinary offerings, both at breakfast and in the bar, were nothing short of exceptional. Each dish, skillfully prepared and presented with flair, showcased the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff. The highlight for me was undoubtedly the poached eggs—a true litmus test for any establishment. I am pleased to report that they exceeded expectations, earning a resounding 100% gold star in my book. In addition to the culinary delights, the ambiance of the hotel's dining spaces added to the overall experience, creating an atmosphere that was both inviting and sophisticated. Overall, my stay at this charming historic hotel was nothing short of memorable. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a culinary connoisseur, or simply seeking a retreat from the mundane, this establishment promises an unforgettable experience.

A large Gothic hotel set in the Hampshire countryside, we loved it! Midweek night's stay, treated the other half to a suite as it was her birthday. Massive room and could go on about what was in it as well as the bathroom but suffice to say we were well chuffed. Great views across the garden too. The food at breakfast and dinner was lovely and the staff were polite and attentive, a welcome change from somewhere we had our Xmas dinner but that's another story. A walk around the grounds with the disused church, water tower and great views of the hotel itself as well as the aforementioned gardens are a must in our book. A peaceful night's stay, well recommended (though as it's a wedding venue, it might be a different story on a weekend!).

Hotel is set in attractive well kept grounds. Very pleasant staff who are polite, attentive and friendly. Rooms clean and well presented. Everywhere in the hotel is well presented and clean The hotel states it is dog friendly and it really is. They have comfy beds, treats and genuine attention and interest from staff. Our food was good and well presented. Great choice of breakfasts. I booked Elvetham for my 80th birthday celebration with my family and everything went well from booking to leaving. Many thanks to Carolina, Events specialist who guided me patiently through the whole procedure. Also Cheryl who arranged our accommodation as requested. Thank you Elvetham for a memorable weekend. Hope well see you again sometime

Honestly really cheap rate for a decent and clean room and it’s nice staying somewhere with a bit of history and grounds you can walk around on. Needed a room in this area and this was better than I expected for the money. I saw some complaint about old rooms - mine was in a building across from the main hotel so maybe that made a difference? Fancy bar / restaurant area to sit in too. Love looking at all the old paintings and getting spooked out. This is where Henry VIII spotted Jane Seymour before he decided to off poor Anne Boleyn 👀Room was nice and new, shower was amazing and hot and staff let me have late check out.

An old Manor house style hotel with lavish painted ceilings in the main house and a variety of decor. I stayed in the refurbished stable block opposite the main entrance and the room was very comfortable with efficient air conditioning. I had a few niggles with breakfast room service but that was due to unavailability of staff. All the staff were extremely polite and worked really hard to keep all the guests happy. The restaurant offers a good selection of dishes and I particularly enjoyed the seared scallops on the first evening. I had a great view of the old church from my room and the Hotel looks very 'Dracula Castle' at night with eerie illumination.
