About Venue

The Elvetham Hotel is a 19th-century country manor house with a site history that dates back over 1,000 years having played host to nobility and royalty alike such as King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I.

Today the hotel consists of 91 modern bedrooms split between our main house and Stables, a relaxing lounge bar, an elegant restaurant and 4 unique function rooms which can be adapted to suit any event.

Our Library is the biggest function space at The Elvetham. It has original antique bookcases on its walls, large windows overlooking the beautiful grounds, and a fancy fireplace, all adding a touch of grandeur to any event. We also have a separate kitchen dedicated to catering for events in the Library, making it ideal for any kind of celebration. It can fit up to 200 people for receptions and up to 120 for dining.

Lovely hotel and gardens. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room and restaurant food was of a high standard that was presented with ease. My best friend and I wished that we could have stayed longer as our stay was lovely and relaxing and the location of the hotel was a half way point for us from Kent and Dorset. The hotel is gated too so it felt very safe and secure. There's lots of local walks nearby as well as the 5K trail around the hotel grounds and gardens. The hotel is also dog friendly.

We spent an amazing birthday weekend here, and it truly exceeded expectations. The location is stunning—an old mansion surrounded by a huge estate that’s perfect for peaceful walks and quiet, relaxing days. The building itself is full of history and incredibly spacious, with each room offering its own charm. It’s the kind of place you want to return to again and again, just to experience staying in every room. The staff deserve special mention—they were wonderfully helpful and friendly. When we realized our Standard room was close to the wedding venue and a bit noisy, they quickly helped us move to a quieter room, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a memorable stay in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a mix of history, tranquility, and genuine hospitality.

Really nice domain - a lot more than a hotel. There was a wedding on that evening, but that didn't bother us. The staff were lovely, and the breakfast superb (maybe a bit expensive at £20, but good quality) Our only complain was the bed, narrower than a queen, so really too small for two adults and very hard. The rooms are lovely otherwise, and very clean, so there is enough room for a bigger bed if they wanted to put one in. We also managed to get a great deal for the room.

Our first time staying at The Elvetham Hotel and couldn’t be happier with our experience. A special thanks to Naman, the restaurant manager, and Jo, the front office manager, for their exceptional care and hospitality. They went out of their way to accommodate our food preferences and allergies, making sure we felt comfortable and well looked after throughout our stay. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine kindness truly made our visit memorable. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel and its amazing team!

We recently stayed at The Elvetham Hotel and had a truly wonderful experience. The staff were fantastic especially Jo .She was exceptionally professional, very knowledgeable, and greeted us with a beautiful, welcoming smile. Jo made us feel immediately comfortable, providing all the information we needed and ensuring our stay was perfect from start to finish. The hotel itself is elegant and full of character, with a superb location that adds to its charm. The atmosphere is both relaxing and refined, making it an ideal place to unwind. Overall, we were very impressed with the service, the staff, and the beautiful setting. We highly recommend The Elvetham Hotel and look forward to returning in the future.
