A hidden gem. The Fitzgerald is an atmospheric drinking den, with splendid décor and a vintage vibe.
Just like the secret drinking spots of the prohibition era, The Fitzgerald has an air of mystery with its back street entrance and dark and moody interior. It channels the classic speakeasy perfectly, with 1920s glassware and vintage décor and is renowned for its delicious cocktails and lively playlist.
The venue comes alive, local musicians play live jazz, blues and modern acoustic sets until the early hours. All interlaced with a mix of soul, disco, funk and electro funk. We don’t pigeon hole ourselves to a music policy, we just try to keep it to what we think fits in with the atmosphere and venue, so you can have the best experience and night out possible.

Cancellation policy
Deposits are non-refundable, however we can move deposits to a new date if required. The final balance is due a week before the booking date. Once the final balance is paid it is non-refundable however again we can move the balance to a new date. The only exception is if we were to go into another national lockdown due to Covid. In this instance a full refund would be given.

March 2024We had a fantastic time at The Fitzgerald. The bar staff (Matthew, Sam(? Sorry!) and Kat took great care of us, making up the great cocktails from their menu as well as anything we requested. Matthew especially went out of his way to make us feel welcome and sort us out a table when we arrived. The atmosphere was great, the a couple of brilliant jazz guitarists on stage who created a cool, classic vibe. Would recommend a trip here.

March 2024Celebrated my 40th birthday here Saturday night. From start to finish had a fantastic night. The venue were booked by my husband a fair few months in advance, any time he had a question emails were replied to promptly. My mum and daughter were allowed in in the afternoon to decorate the place. The bar manager on the night was attentive and made sure everything was OK. We had a drinks package, the mixers were regularly replenished and topped up. The singer on the night was fantastic and had everyone up dancing. The sore heads the next day were well worth it. Brilliant venue, brilliant atmosphere, and brilliant staff. Everyone njoyed themselves. Thank you The fitzgerald.
