This is an old hotel with small but comfortable rooms. Positives- great location, very near to market street, coach station and train station. Okay for 1-2 nights if you plan to spend most of time outside 👍

Mercure hotel is perfectly placed with Metro trams and buses stop outside but it is an easy walk into town. Our room 1027 was on a corner with views the fountain, room is of a good size and clean. There is Tea & coffee making facilities. The reception staff are friendly and willing to help.

I had mixed feelings about this hotel. It's location was as good as it could get, the staff were wonderful, all working with enthusiasm and friendliness, the food was great as was the bed. Now the but, it really could do with a little sprucing up, for example the grouting in the bathroom was past it's best. Having said that, while the bar and restaurant were of a past time (70s) I loved the ambience and decor. The bottom line is that I can't wait to go back.

Great hotel in the centre of Manchester. Mostly good staff, a few clangers but any issues were very quickly resolved. Clean, pleasant and comfortable rooms for the price.

Room as a whole was good, cleaners left dirty rubbish bags on our arrival which was quite disappointing as it’s such a beautiful hotel. The male at desk on the ground floor was absolutely amazing on my visit, great communication skills and very welcoming. Cleaners were terrible, payed for late checkout and they barged into the room not once but twice even though I had to told them the first time we were checking out later on as I payed for late checkout! Absolutely fuming as I felt like like dignity had been exposed as i could have been getting dressed when the cleaner barged in.
