A suberb group experience that I would recommend. We visited as a group of 15+ and provided conservation voluntary work and polished the gallery to help maintain its pristine state. We also had a brilliant tour with an extremely knowledgeable tour guide. I would recommend wearing suitable footwear to climb steep ladder steps and uneven decking. It's a great experience and a valuable insight into history. I do hope to return soon.

Missed visiting this on previous holidays, but this time around I finally got to see it. You can either have an audio guide or do a self guided tour and I opted for the latter. Despite having a map of the ship it was a little confusing at times as to how to access the various areas, which direction to follow and as a consequence I never made it to the engine rooms. You'll also have to descend and ascend a number of steep stairs if you want to access all areas, so if stairs aren't your thing you may want to forego visiting the ship. It's an amazingly well preserved ship, gives you a great appreciation of how the crew lived, what they had to endure and the various functional areas.

It was very interesting and for everyone who wants to know more about the history it's really a must . You have an audiobook but there are also volunteers who will take their time to explain things as well which I loved . Be sure to be mobile enough because some places on the ship are more difficult to access. Definitely take your time to see it all . We didn't buy tickets upfront and we were lucky to be there at 10 and to be able to get it . I would recommend to buy some upfront though because even at 10 it was already very busy.

Tickets booked in advance which I would recommend. Visited on a Sunday not long after opening and went straight in. It's a big ship with nine decks you can visit. There's lots of ladders and hatches so bear that in mind if you are visiting. There is a route round but we did get a bit lost at a few points. There were two guides on the day we visited who were very helpful

Amazing bit of history. If you have an interest in WW2 history or ships, this is a must see display. It’s very much as it was when service ended, so there are lots of steep narrow ladders required to go between decks. If you have mobility issues this probably isn’t one where you will be able to see everything
