July 2024Stayed here for a couple of nights as a family member was getting married nearby. Staff were great and the room felt luxurious, without being over the top. Baby friendly. Ended up trying breakfast, lunch and dinner. All of the meals were tasty and the service was fast! A special thank you for letting us eat in the hotel lobby on a busy Friday evening

July 2024We had to stay in the area for the scattering of a beloved aunt’s ashes. We wanted a hotel that could offer 5 rooms and provide food for 7. We hit the jack pot! The rooms were clean and well prepared. The ground so spacious that we were able to eat outside away from all the other guests. Despite being away we were superbly waited in. In turned out the waiter was actually the newly appointed manager, talk about leading by example! The food was great. We could not have asked for more!

September 2024This used to be my "local" many years ago. It's an impressive building and has undergone several revamps over the years. Today, the bar/public area is welcoming, casual and relaxed. The outside space is huge, mostly flat with a large pond. Made safe with railings to stop you falling in after a few too many .... or possibly just to keep your children safe! There is also a small play area for them.

September 2024One night stay with our two dogs. Very comfortable room and the dogs were given a bed too. Minor quibbles were no plug in bathroom sink and large overhead shower couldn't be used, but handheld shower provided a very serviceable replacement. Very friendly staff, decent menu and good range of gluten free options.
