This is a new kind of country hotel. We’re affordable but not budget, stylish but not pretentious, and outdoorsy but just as happy to stay in and put our feet up by the fire. The Fish is your back-to-nature bolt-hole with a little touch of luxury.
A popular meeting room on the first floor of Springfield House for up to 70 delegates (theatre style). Delegates love the fact that the Granary Room has floor to ceiling glass doors along one side, flooding the room with natural daylight. Just across from the coffee lounge. This room also has the option to interconnect with another meeting room.

Cancellation policy
If the cancellation is received 60 days or more but less than 90 days before the start of the event, the cancellation fee will be 50%. If the cancellation is received 30 days or more but less than 60 days before the start of the event, the cancellation fee will be 75%. If the cancellation is received less than 30 days before the start of event, the cancellation fee will be 100%.

December 2023We stayed in the hilly huts for our annual Xmas/anniversary trip and it was magical. The perfect place for an escape and the restaurant/bar is great too if you don’t want to leave the premise. The hotel appears to be very kid and dog friendly too, so we’ll return with the whole family for the next trip.

December 2023What a place! Love coming to eat here, service is excellent, very accommodating for a baby and pram as well. Food was delicious, my dessert in particular was excellent. Love that you can bring dogs into the bar area and eat - again very accommodating. Such a lovely drive into the place as well, and decorated beautifully inside for Christmas - thank you!

February 2024My wife and I were booked into The Fish hotel for a Friday and Saturday evening. The hotel is fantastic, staff are great and the food is delicious. Our stay took a turn when my wife's waters broke on the Friday evening at the hotel. The staff organised to collect our belongings from our room and send them to the hospital we at in Gloucester via taxi. Not only this the staff called me on Saturday morning to check in and offer us to stay at another time. The staff really were fantastic and helped us hugely throughout what was quite a turn of events. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will definitely be coming back.

February 2024There was a power cut so sadly our lunch never happened but they severed us bar snacks and we had complimentary drinks. The virgin cocktails were fantastic ! We will definitely be back and a special thank you to Filipe for taking care of us !!
