The Fish Hotel, The Granary

Came for dinner. Great place, quite expensive but worth it. Never eaten a scotch egg before but tried it because of the nduja sausage which could have had a little more presence, but nevertheless enjoyable. Souffle excellent and mains of whole plaice and belly pork were also excellent. Couldn't manage a pud. Service excellent. Will be back!

From the moment we checked in the staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We received a call to the room to ensure everything was as expected. Our dog had his own bed, toy and treats. He was provided with bowls and a towel if needed. He was also given sausage at breakfast and dinner. He enjoyed the ‘pooch playground’ and enjoyed a lovely off lead run around. Our car didn’t move and we did a couple of the walks that are from the hotel. The ‘boot room’ is well equipped with boots if needed and local maps of the area. Due to it being my partners birthday, we were gifted a £50 wine card which was a lovely surprise as well as a personalised welcome card and small box of chocolates. The hotel environment and grounds were beautiful and peaceful. I could of happily spent an afternoon on the terrace reading a book.

Absolute amazing service here at the fish. Spent time here for a birthday and truly experienced impeccable service and a quality experience. The adventure at the Farncombe estate is not one to miss especially the clay shooting with Callum. He is truly exceptional and is super passionate on his role, with plenty of expertise to share and much patience. I’d recommend the fish to anyone looking to have a lovely peaceful time away. Jane at reception is lovely and all staff are generally very welcoming and helpful!
