A hotel is right in the centre of Cardiff city, opposite the Castle. The room prices are reasonable, as is the £15 charge for dogs, even if you had 2 small ones. The hotel parking however is expensive (£13 per day) and the car park is not that big, but we were allowed a free short day to unload and load up are belongings at the start and end of our stay. We did not have breakfast because this was £15 per person, which we thought was too expensive. This should be £10 maximum. The rooms are a decent size and comfortable. We did have a problem with the window blind in the bathroom. It was difficult to get it to pull down. I thought the Angel were a bit mean with the toiletries and biscuits for a room occupied by two guests. Only one each of a small bottle of Shampoo & Shower , and one packet of 3 bourbon biscuits! The staff were friendly and efficient and our stay was OK. Pity we could not have used the car park or dining facilities because of the prices.

Beautiful hotel with an excellent location. Views of the castle and Cardiff Arms Park. Evening meal was amazing especially the steak. Probably the best steak I have ever had. We were in room 201 which is above the main entrance. It was a good size and very comfortable. The breakfast was a buffet with a great selection and you and order porches eggs as well as other items. Good selection of cereals, yogurts and continental options. Had a great stay and would love to go back. The Angel has its own car park behind the hotel which costs £13 for the night and you can stay there until 2 pm. That is a good price for the area.

It was great, very responsive to my needs and reduced the room size when fewer people signed up than hoped for. Thank you, your help was much appreciated

We've stayed in this hotel five times now and this time was just as good as the rest, although I wasn't allowed to stay with my parents this time due to #ageism. Having my own room was GOAT though because I got to stay up late and do things like watch Casualty on my tablet. The breakfast was nice too, even though they were late bringing my warm milk this morning, and their selection of pastries could be inconsistent at times. In essence, a lovely hotel with a nice atmosphere- but beware the old biddies on the stairs!

This hotel has a great location in the heart of Cardiff, with the castle walls on one side and the city on the other. It's a little tired and dated and there was very little seating space for a drink or to relax. We stayed 1 night with dinner included, the food was fine, limited menu choice. Breakfast was good.

Cant comment on the hotel overall as I've not stayed here. However Afternoon tea was very disappointing. The portion of sandwiches was rather small and the bread dry. I waited a long time for butter instead of cream for a scone. All of the cakes were fresh cream which I don't like. No one offered to top up our tea/coffee. Tables not set nicely and no preety china that you associate with Afternoon tea. Would not go again.
