Colonel Saab, now open in Trafalgar Square, adds a new chapter to London's culinary diversity following our successful flagship in Holborn. We are delighted to share our passion for blending traditional Indian flavours with contemporary culinary approaches. Our menu, crafted with care, features aromatic signature plates and innovative starters, each dish reflecting our dedication to culinary excellence.

The ambiance of our Trafalgar Square location is inspired by the Choudhary family's journeys across the Indian subcontinent. Restaurateur Roop Partap Choudhary has infused the restaurant with elements reflective of both his family's heritage and the rich traditions of Indian cuisine. Guests can enjoy the elegant bar, a cosy lounge area, and a dining room adorned with beautiful Firozabad chandeliers, alongside a mezzanine level and two private dining rooms. At Colonel Saab, we strive to offer a welcoming atmosphere that complements our menu, inviting guests to enjoy a taste of India's culinary and artistic heritage in the heart of London.

The Jaipur area, with its semi-private setting, is ideal for smaller gatherings, offering a cozy ambiance for private dining, team meetings, or small birthday parties. This space combines the exclusivity of private dining with the lively atmosphere of Colonel Saab, ensuring a unique and memorable experience for any group event.

On our business trip to London we decided to try Colonel Saab and what an absolute treat this was. This Indian restaurant is a culinary gem with exceptional food and an ambiance that transports you to the heart of India itself. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with an immersive experience adorned with authentic Indian art and furniture, creating a stunning atmosphere. The food is the true star here, with each dish meticulously prepared to perfection, bursting with authentic flavors and spices. Starter: Noor Mahal Chicken Tikka Main: Nadan Meen Curry Dessert: Mishti Doi Cheesecake We also were so lucky that we got a private tour of the restaurant from the General Manager, where we got the history of the restaurant, it's art pieces and it's founder. Overall, the combination of outstanding food, stunning ambiance, and exceptional service, including the private tour, elevates this Indian restaurant to a class of its own, creating an unforgettable dining experience that leaves a lasting impression.

We ended up booking a table at the other branch in Holborn but the team were more than accommodating to help correct our error and cater for us at the new Trafalgar Square branch. The team were extremely helpful with perfect service and the food was great. It is on the expensive side especially if you are enjoying their cocktail menu but it was a wonderful experience and something I recommend!

We were a family of 30 celebrating my cousin bday party and Mauritian Independence Day. We were seated upstairs. The staff was helpful & welcoming. Mr Ankur the Manager was courteous & friendly. He accommodated our requests. Mr Prince the waiter was polite & kind. The atmosphere is awesome with a great decor. The staff happily took our photos. All the guests enjoyed the evening. Food a bit pricey but worthwhile experience. We would happily go back … it was my second visit in 2 weeks 🥰MERCI to the staff members at Colonel Saab at Trafalgar Square.

We tried this place as the reviews were amazing, our server Sam was very attentive, friendly, and just all in all great, we ordered cocktails, starters, mains and desserts. The cocktails let is down as they all tasted like strong syrup, 2 of 5 didn’t drink theirs. The starters were absolutely amazing, so much flavour just the perfect amount of kick. Cant fault them, for the mains we had high expectation especially for a place that charges 18.99 for ghee rice and 20.99 for a butter chicken, sadly it was average, it wasn’t bad, but I had better in London for way cheaper. All in all, the experience wasn't bad, happy that I tried it, but for what you are paying, you should leave with a WOW effect and that wasn't the case.
