Rooms were clean and spacious. Bathrooms were really nice, great shower and tub. The pool and sauna/steam room were great. Service was great, there was always someone at the front desk. Windows opened, but it was a bit noisy outside (to be expected in the city). Blankets were a touch small. Overall great stay, location was perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at the Apex. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and always attentive, constantly finding ways to make the already excellent service even better. We would especially like to highlight Irene at the reception — without her, we would have missed out on the excellent breakfast (dear vegans, go for it!) and the lovely atmosphere that came with it. She also somehow anticipated our wishes before we even knew we had them. A big shoutout as well to Craig at the hotel bar, who served by far the best Whisky Sour in Edinburgh and skillfully engaged us in delightful conversations that always ended with a smile — a true bartender’s touch. Finally, heartfelt thanks to Joanna, the good soul who magically restored our room to perfect condition in no time at all! Many thanks to everyone — and see you again soon!

Loved this place!! The location, the luxury, the staff - all were wonderful. I stayed here with family during our UK visit, and were not disappointed. Very well located for anyone wanted to explore Edinburgh and nearby places. Place is right next to a mall, for shopping or food. The breakfast at the hotel was amazing, will highly recommend it. The staff was really friendly, helpful and courteous. Would love to visit again.

Absolutely stunning hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. Stayed in a deluxe double room which was spacious and one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever stayed in! Gorgeous quality bedding and white fluffy towels too. Loved the pool & steam room also. Located perfectly in centre, 5-10 min walk to the old town. Fantastic breakfast - A La Carte menu and really delicious. I asked to swap rooms as I wanted one with a bath in, Reka on reception very helpfully arranged it and even offered complimentary breakfast for my trouble! The service overall was outstanding, everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful. Wound personally say this is a 4.5 star hotel, much better than other 4 stars I’ve stayed in! Highly recommend.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again, it’s perfect location with everything so close by. The rooms are great, with huge bathrooms and comfy beds. The facilities are great too, the pool is nice (just a little cold) and the sauna and steam room are brilliant. The gym was basic but had everything you need for a quick workout. The staff have been super friendly and attentive to us and our room, I’d recommend this to anyone staying in Edinburgh as it’s so close to everything you want to visit.
