This hotel has my heart! Wonderful service from the moment you book! I stayed for 2 nights as a birthday treat to myself and was informed a few days before my trip that the pool was out of service. Once I got to the hotel I was offered a booked return taxi to their sister hotel about 15 minutes if I wanted to use the pool there. My room was also upgraded and it made the whole trip even more amazing! I had an amazing view, an amazing bathroom and amazing nights sleep on the king sized bed. Apex Waterloo will most definitely be seeing me again!

Sharing this review in lieu of my parents who stayed this past weekend. They used the accessible room which was immaculate and incredibly helpful. The staff were very warm and super attentive. Excellent central location with so many sights to see within a few minutes walk. Spacious and cosy bar which serves great cocktails and amazing local beer. Highly recommend for anyone coming to Edinburgh or locals just wanting a fancy weekend stay.

Great hotel in Edinburgh. In a quieter end of the city centre yet close to shops and restaurants. Room was clean and inviting and an enormous bed. Steam room worked wonders the night before and the morning after. And the cooked breakfast was delicious. I LOVE staying at the Apex

Our stay here was nothing short of perfection. We visited for my girlfriend’s birthday, and the hotel exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the manager, Irene, whose hospitality set the tone for the entire trip. The property is impeccably clean—honestly, some of the highest standards I’ve seen. The team even went out of their way to leave a thoughtful birthday treat in our room, which was such a classy touch. We spent a significant amount of time enjoying the beautiful swimming pool and the sauna, both of which are maintained to a very high standard. If you’re looking for a seamless, luxury experience with a personal touch, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to return, we’ve loved every minute of staying here!

My partner booked this hotel for my birthday. Upon arriving the staff were super friendly and helpful. The team welcomed us and upgraded our room for my birthday, when we arrived at the room they had a lovely cake prepared, this was a very nice gesture! The room was lovely and the location was perfect, close to everything in the city. If I would to visit Edinburgh again I was most certainly stay here, thanks for being very helpful. One small issue was the room was cold, we kept the thermostat up but there still seemed to be a wind chill coming through.
