Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel, Exclusive Hire

We had an excellent experience at the Mercure Rougemont in Exeter for our hockey club end of season dinner. With 130 attendees, the whole event was run perfectly. Massive thanks to Jodie who was brilliant to liaise with over many months of planning. They were let down with some staff on the night, but even with reduced staff they worked so hard to cater for us smoothly and on time. It was also the best price I found around Exeter for a dinner event this size.

My partner and I stayed at the Rougemont Mercure in Exeter and our stay was exceptional. The staff at the hotel are brilliant and a true asset to the hotel. The hotel is beautiful with great charm, character and has an interesting history to the building. The location is perfect with the city centre and train station on the door step. We received a very warm welcome on arrival. The receptionist was very friendly and provided a smooth and informative check in. Everything was explained including dinner and breakfast times and locations. We checked in to our spacious room which was cleaned to the upmost standard and very comfortable. We dined at the hotel for dinner which was delicious and again received a very warm welcome from our waitress Kathryn, who was extremely attentive throughout and again very friendly. We slept extremely well and I was impressed with the quality of the sheets. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of options including artisan breads and the eggs are cooked to order which makes all the difference. They were cooked to perfection too. The breakfast team were very attentive and friendly as well, and explained where everything on the buffet was, that we could order the eggs and showed us their additional breakfast menu with even more choices which you can order at a small supplement. Definitely worthwhile. Overall we had a great time and truly relaxed for the night. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again! We checked in Sunday afternoon and from the moment we arrived, we were met with exceptional hospitality. Thereafter, we were warmly welcomed at the Drakes restaurant by food and beverage supervisors Kathryn and Callum and their attentiveness and friendliness truly stood out, making our dining experience very enjoyable. The location of the hotel is also ideal, situated in the heart of Exeter City Centre, making it easy to explore the city's attractions. The comfortable location of the hotel contributed to our overall experience, providing a perfect mix of relaxation and convenience. We highly recommend the Rougemont Hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant stay in Exeter. The excellent service, good food, and prime location make it outstanding experiences.
