We recently got married at Charlton Hall in June, and honestly, wow, what a venue and what a team! It’s genuinely difficult to put into words just how incredible the whole experience was. The venue itself is absolutely spectacular, beautiful, unique, and full of charm. All of our guests were blown away and couldn’t stop complimenting how stunning everything looked. But what truly made our wedding so special were the amazing people behind the scenes. The team at Charlton Hall are nothing short of exceptional, and we want to give a special shout out to Roma, Karl, and Sean, along with everyone else who played a part in our day. You were all incredible and deserve so much credit and recognition. From the moment we booked, Roma looked after us with so much care. She was always just an email away, nothing was ever too much trouble. She not only supported us every step of the way, but genuinely shared in our excitement. On the day itself, Roma was an absolute star. She came to check in on the bridal party in the morning, making sure we were okay and had everything we needed. One moment that really stood out was when my husband gifted me a piece of artwork we wanted to display at the wedding. Roma suggested a black easel to match and went out of her way to find it and set it up for us. It’s the little things like that, her attention to detail and care, that made such a big difference. She helped with last-minute tasks and was such an emotional support for me throughout. We had a few really special, emotional moments with her that we’ll never forget. Roma felt more like a friend than a wedding coordinator, and we were genuinely gutted when she had to leave that evening. She said the loveliest things to both of us, and we felt so truly cared for. We also want to thank Karl, who was such a huge help the day before the wedding and on the day itself. He helped us set up and made everything feel relaxed and under control. He was so easy to get along with and felt like part of our wedding party! Nothing was a problem, and he made sure everything ran smoothly. Roma and Karl also went above and beyond to make sure one of our autistic guests was well supported. They remembered details we had spoken about months earlier and put everything in place to make sure her experience was a positive one. Their kindness and effort meant so much to us and her family, and it didn’t go unnoticed. Sean was also amazing, he brought pastries to the bridal suite in the morning and was a calm, friendly face throughout the day. He regularly checked in on us and shared such lovely, thoughtful words. We were so happy to see him the next morning at The Tempus, he’s clearly so dedicated and passionate about what he does, even when juggling lots of tasks and guest needs. To Roma, Karl, Sean, and the entire Charlton Hall team, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made our wedding day truly magical for us and our guests. A hidden gem Fantastic wedding venue everything you could wish for. Stayed there last week. Brilliant venue, friendly and efficient staff, couldn't be more helpful. Beautiful setting I would recommend it to any bride to be. We are already looking at staying again.

Charlton Hall is a truly magical and unique venue. The ceremony space is breathtaking and does not need anything added to make it sparkle as it really speaks for itself. The building and grounds provide a stunning backdrop for photos, and our guests were blown away by the character and beauty of the setting. The food on the day was absolutely delicious, service during the meal was excellent, and everything ran smoothly thanks to the team. I have to give special mention to Roma, who was a star from start to finish. She went above and beyond, even helping to set up the tables and making sure everything stayed on schedule, which was invaluable as I was not feeling well. Her professionalism and kindness made such a difference to the day. However, there were some issues that did cause stress. The venue charged our wedding party and guests almost 50 percent more for accommodation when booking directly through reception compared to prices available online, even for those trying to book a month or two in advance. In the end, I had to advise all guests to book online to avoid being overcharged. Despite raising this, the venue never apologised, which was disappointing. It was only because I have a sharp eye for detail that we caught it, but it is not the kind of issue you expect from such a high end venue. The evening service was also not as well run. Unfortunately, not all of the vegan options for the evening food were provided, which meant some of our guests did not get to eat. Additionally, the Stable Cottage had a slight smell of damp and it seemed the septic tank may have needed attention, as there was an occasional sewage smell. Overall, Charlton Hall is a beautiful and unforgettable venue with a magical ceremony location, excellent food, and a great team, but couples should be aware of accommodation pricing, double check bookings carefully, and ensure the evening service is properly managed.
