We stayed here for two nights recently while on a trip to the area. This is a wee gem. Nice comfortable lodge in beautiful surroundings, with great facilities - swimming pool, spa, lots of play area for children and places to walk (including enclosed dog walking area). We had breakfast in the hotel, which was very nice indeed - full Scottish was offered or continental if preferred. Food was freshly cooked to order, so be prepared to wait a bit for that - it’s well worth it. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is worth a visit - very clean and tidy with a wee cafe area attached, if required. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hopeto return next year with family.

Had an amazing one night stay here which definetly wasn’t long enough! Cannot find any faults at all with anything here. The room was brilliant, the setting stunning, the staff extremely chatty, friendly and happy, the food was incredible and the drinks sublime. Bought two bottles of gin upon leaving as the distillery was closed unfortunately (due to storm damage???) and also had that gin at the bar too amongst other drinks. Girlfriend loved the venue as did I and we even went for the pool/sauna/steam room in the morning after we’d checked out which was a nice touch.

Wonderful time and great food! The staff especially Sarah was so impressive and attentive to our needs. Steven & Kristina in the dining room were both excellent. Steven suggested a wonderful Scotch for my husband. The duck is incredible and so is the goat cheese and beetroot. All the food was good.

We liked our stay here! I thought everyone was very friendly, and the house was quite lovely! The food was delicious, although it would have been nice to have a bit more variety or at least change up the menu some. We only ate there for dinner twice because it was too much of the same thing. The grounds are beautiful, and my kids loved the ducks that lived near the pond! The hours for the pool house are disappointing…after a long day of seeing sights, we kept coming back to the pool already closed down. Very short hours.

Very spacious apartment, had everything there we needed and the grounds and hotel is very beautiful. Great amenities as well including the dog park, swimming area and gym. The staff are also very friendly and we had one of them go above and beyond for me to wrap up the biscuits I bought as a lovely gift, with no extra charge. Food at the restaurant was also very delicious. However, the carpets in the apartment are very old and in need of changing or deep deep cleaning. No matter how much perfume I sprayed, I couldn't get rid of the musty spell around me when I tried to sleep. This was quite a let down. Overall cleanliness of the apartments needs to improve so I'd recommend for the beauty and amenities but with a caution on cleanliness.
