New Bath Hotel

We had a lovely 2 night stay here, staff were really friendly and welcoming, we were able to bring our dog and stayed in a pleasant newly refurbished room with balcony overlooking the pool. Enjoyed using the outdoor pool, a condition of use is that you have to wear a swimming cap, would have liked to have known this before so we could have brought our own, but here able to borrow some. Breakfast was decent and fairly priced at £10 if you book in advance. Would definitely stay again.

This is just a review of the room, food, and the service we experienced. The junior suite was spacious, clean and suited our needs. The bedding was spotless, although someone had spilled tea down the divan bed so it looked unsightly. The decor is plain but light, with occasional marks, doubtless from exuberant children's feet. The bathroom was also very clean, light and everything worked properly. The staff were friendly and polite, if evidently covering a lot of the area, but they managed. Sunday dinner was good enough, if not superb. Maybe a little over priced for what it was but it was tasty and filling. We slept well, as our room was nice and quiet. Breakfast was a buffet but everything was good, although they'd run out of eggs when I arrived. It's good for a stop over for the area.

The New Bath Hotel & Spa is in a great location — calm, relaxing, and within walking distance to both Cromford and Matlock, making it perfect for a quiet getaway. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is very peaceful, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The pool and spa are definite highlights, a lovely spot to unwind. We stayed in a Double Room overlooking the pool — it was decent in size and relatively clean, though the carpet did have a number of large stains. The bathroom was fine, but the shower had quite weak water pressure. There are plenty of nice seating areas both inside the hotel and outside in the grounds, ideal for relaxing with a drink or book. Breakfast was included — the full English was good, though there weren’t too many other options if you prefer something different. Overall, a calm and enjoyable stay.
