I attended a wedding at the Relais Cooden Beach this weekend and was so impressed with the diligence and efficiency of the staff, the absolutely delicious food and how beautiful the function room looked. From crazy golf on the lawn to the cute little icecream cart, the Relais absolutely delivered my friend her dream wedding. It is a gorgeous spot and the sea views were very special, especially at sunset. Thank you so much for such a wonderful day.

I’ve read the reviews about poor service and I have experienced nothing but the best service. Staff are friendly and thoughtful and hard working. Good is excellent. Prices good. Location amazing. Terrace is lovely. There are a few rules that don’t make any sense like not opening the doors to the terrace at breakfast even though you are allowed to sit out there which is just silly but other than that this hotel is superb. A real gem. And very strongly recommend to all.

My sister and I booked a spa day with 2 course lunch and we really enjoyed it. The spa staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere relaxing. Jacuzzi, sauna and spa with heated beds. Also a quiet lounge area that was a bit cooler. Excellent massages, one of the best I've had. Lovely service in the restaurant, and delicious prawn sandwich and lemon posset. Would suggest a sign on the doors to the changing rooms, and a menu forn non-alcoholic drinks. Only negative was the floor in the spa area was quite dusty. Overall very enjoyable and we will be going back.

A generally pleasant stay with a few hiccups We recently stayed at the Relais Cooden Beach Hotel and overall had a lovely time, though there were a few things that could be improved. The rooms were light, airy, clean, and very comfortable — a great space to relax. However, it's worth noting there was no air conditioning, which might be a concern in warmer months. The hotel’s restaurant is large and pleasant, offering picturesque sea views. It’s open to the public, so booking is essential. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to secure a table for Sunday lunch on the day we arrived, which was disappointing, but we have to say that when ordering our meals later that day, they were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Service from staff was a bit hit and miss. While some team members were very helpful and welcoming, others weren’t quite as attentive, leading to a few errors with our food and drink orders. We appreciated the free parking and were pleasantly surprised to find 24-hour room service available. That said, there was no menu provided in the room, and the phone to reception wasn’t working, which made ordering difficult. A nice touch was the complimentary water in the room, though the bottle wasn’t sealed, which raised some hygiene concerns. Despite these small issues, we would return. The location, atmosphere, and some truly kind staff members made our stay generally enjoyable. For guests wishing for relaxation and pampering, there is a beautiful spa on hand with a wonderful array of products to complement your treatments, which smelled amazing when checking in!

We just enjoyed a very nice 1 night stay here for my birthday! We had a great evening meal at the restaurant with attentive servers, and delectable pork belly. The starters and puds were tasty too. I was really pleasantly surprised having read a lot of other reviews- some of which weren't so positive. But I have to say our overall experience was very nice. We had the cooked breakfast too- which was a bit medicore in comparison to our great dinner. The poached eggs were rather vinegary and overdone but the sausage and hash brown were very tasty. Our room was nice- comfy bed and pleasantly decorated. The staff we met were all friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the old pipes meant there was an unpleasant drain smell after using the shower but otherwise we had no complaints about the room.
