It was a great 2 night stay for me for a conference in Edgbaston. The staff were super. Checked in late on Sunday and given all the information. There was food available up to 8.30pm which I had Monday pm which was very nice .Breakfast looked nice and available from 7am. I enjoyed staying in a older hotel with lots of character. The room was very spacious and clean. I must say all the staff were superb and friendly and present. Perfect for my trip and I would recommend and stay again. Couldn't fault it.

Lovely place to host a small function. Very hospitable staff. Manager too is lovely. Hotel gives the classic retro vibes. Beautiful Christmas 🎁 tree 🎄. There's free customer parking. City centre is nearby. You can easily catch the tram and straight through Broad Streets into City Centre.

Rooms were comfortable but clicking radiators quite noisy (noisier than traffic!) Great base for short break as on end of Metro line (very regular and reasonable!) Staff slightly too quick to clear away one morning (left table to get toast and found plate gone!) but breakfast itself was good and set me up well for day.

It's beginning to show a lack of investment, with all areas clean and tidy but showing wear and tear. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. The location and car parking offer a great package at a reasonable price. Beware there isn't a food offering, outside of breakfast, on the weekend including Friday night. On the subject of breakfast the offer is adequate but a little short of expectations these days. Overall we enjoyed our experience.

Overall I had a good stay, the location is great and I enjoyed the hotel's old style. The room's size was great, but I felt a bit cold, even though the radiator was working. Breakfast was very tasty, but it was very busy and I believe there was a lack of staff as two of them were topping up the breakfast items all the time to keep up, pastries were not present for the whole time on the stand, yet there was proof they were available earlier.
