I booked a two-night stay at this hotel last-minute after an unexpected flight reschedule, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. I reserved through Booking.com and received a free breakfast bundle (I believe this perk is available for Genius Level 1 or 2 members). I was also kindly upgraded to a better room upon arrival—thank you to the receptionist for that! The hotel and the room both have a charming traditional vibe and architecture, which I found beautiful and unique. I tried the porridge from the breakfast buffet, and it was quite good. I also had a hamburger at the hotel's restaurant, and that was a great experience as well.

I stayed for one night with my sister for her birthday. We wanted a hotel close to the train station its a 5 to 10 minute walk which was great. First impression as we walked in was everything looked lovely and clean and the receptionist was very friendly and professional as we're all the staff we encountered Our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. We had a very good night's sleep as the beds were very comfy. We did not hear any noise or the usual banging of doors as people began to wake and go down for breakfast which was very refreshing. We are definitely going to stay here again and we can highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Yet again, this hotel never fails to deliver. Im always welcomed with huge smiles, very friendly and chatty staff, and then lovely clean spacious rooms, just a top overall package! Special thanks to Lyndsey Betts, Adam Bass and Ana. Im always made to feel more than welcome, like a home from home! Other hotels can learn a lot from here, looking forward to my next stay.

Great location and lovely hotel in city centre Birmingham. One of the windows was a bit airy, so the sounds outside the New Street station could be heard... though it quieted down after 2am. Convenient to metro, too, for those with mobility challenges. Very helpful staff and standard room was very good size.

Lovely people, dreadful building. The heating system seems to belong in a museum — it only comes on after 7 or 9 in the evening, then gives up by midnight. No hot water in the daytime, so showers are more of an evening-only luxury. Spend a day in the room and you’ll feel like an ice lolly. The whole place reminded me of the worst kind of student halls, only less reliable.
