Amazing stay at Novotel! Just got back from a fantastic family trip to Novotel with my wife and two kids. Honestly, the staff here are incredible - Silvia, Salo, Mo, Marina and Donut made our whole stay so much fun. These guys were hilarious and really made us feel at home. It was absolutely boiling hot one night and they went out of their way to bring us an extra fan, didn't even hesitate when we mentioned how warm it was. Then they surprised us with some cold drinks to help cool down. Just really thoughtful stuff that you don't always get at hotels. This was actually our first hotel experience as a family, so we weren't sure what to expect. The kids were pretty quiet and shy, but the staff really made an effort with them, trying to get them to smile and just being really patient. You could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we all felt comfortable. We will definitely be booking here again next time we're in the area. If you're looking for a place where the staff actually care and will go the extra mile, this is it. Can't fault them at all!

Very helpful and welcoming staff who were happy to accommodate my wheat allergy, especiallyJulett. Lovely breakfast. Let down by a recent re decoration with paint streaks left on the furniture in what was supposed to be a Superior room, phots attached. My partner loved the spacious deep bath. It was lively at night but it's a main street, take some ear plugs to make the most of the really comfy beds.

The customer service in this hotel is brilliant. Also breakfast was very fresh, warm and tastes nice. Nice central location too. Not giving a 10 because the rooms are quite old and tired and a refresh will be good and make it more modern. Despite looking old, the cleanliness was good.

Modelled on East German hotels, it has a strange room layout with a separate toilet (no sink) and bathroom. You need a stepladder to get in the shower but it is a paradise for wood chip connoisseurs. Tiny car park which is not connected to the hotel lifts. However, location is great.

I recently booked a two-night stay at Novotel Birmingham Centre and I am extremely disappointed with the experience. The online pictures are highly misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the rooms. The hotel is advertised as four-star, but in reality, the accommodation is closer to a two-star standard at best. During our stay, the air conditioning system did not work and the thermostat was broken. Unfortunately, we visited during a heatwave, which made the room unbearable. Reception could only provide us with a small fan, which was wholly inadequate given the circumstances. The in-room appliances were also in poor condition. The kettle and other amenities were dirty and unhygienic, while the mini-fridge did not function at all. Considering we paid £255 for two nights, the quality and upkeep of the room were unacceptable. To make matters worse, there was constant drilling and construction noise throughout the day, which ruined any chance of rest or relaxation. I must add that the staff were very friendly and the breakfast service was good, but these positives did not make up for the abysmal state of the facilities. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing stay and certainly not worth the money. I will not be returning to this hotel in the future
