Located in the heart of Bournemouth and spread across the ground floor, we offer three unique spaces: Bar 1, the high-energy Room 2, and a private Karaoke Room – perfect for parties, socials or team-building activities.
With plenty of seating, dancefloors, a DJ booth, and live music options, there’s space (and atmosphere) to suit every kind of celebration. Fuel your event with pizzas, bratwursts, Bavarian buffets, and tailored drinks packages, including our signature beer and cocktail towers.

Our cancellation policy is 2 weeks prior to the event date; any amendments after this time must still meet the agreed spend/ total cost, please note your 25% deposit is non- refundable at time of booking.

The drinks are masterfully crafted – you can taste the care in every sip – and the service is genuinely attentive without being overbearing. But the real highlight? Martha. She’s the kind of person who makes the place feel alive. Whether she’s behind the bar or simply lighting up the room with her presence, her charm is effortless. She has that rare mix of professionalism and genuine warmth that makes you feel instantly welcome, as though you’re a regular even on your first visit. Her smile is as memorable as the cocktails, and she carries herself with a grace and energy that make the night feel special. Barbara’s is a gem, but Martha is its sparkle. I popped into Barbara’s to surprise my partner who works there, it was a VIP night so a super busy and understandably stressful night. I asked politely to the employees who were managing the guest list if I could go inside to say hello to my partner, which was forwarded to managers and was all okay to enter! (Thank you) as we don’t see eachother much, the staff were super friendly and welcoming, the uniforms and the entertainment is great! I assume they thought I was a CEO (I wish) of some sort but regardless I thought you were all doing a fantastic job and the place itself is breathtaking! I’ll have to visit soon again and try out your cocktails ❤️ and as someone who also works in customer service, it’s difficult, however it was all seamless! Thank you Barbara’s for teaching my partner to pour a great pint and make a great margarita! 🤣🙏

I experienced prejudice at the house. The city of Bristol is very welcoming, but this place goes in the opposite direction – terrible service and a security guard at the door, with her hair tied back and lip augmentation surgery, who really should not be working with the public. I mentioned what happened at the university, and everyone spoke badly about the place.
