About Venue
Rockwater, Hove is a coastal venue in Brighton that brings together relaxed dining, brilliant sea views, and two very different event spaces under one roof. It has a warm, social atmosphere that works just as well for intimate occasions as it does for larger celebrations, and it feels like the kind of place where people settle in and really enjoy themselves.
The venue is popular for birthdays, engagement parties, private dinners, weddings, corporate away days, strategy sessions, and seasonal celebrations. Organisers choose it because it can shift easily between daytime workshops, laid back gatherings, sunset drinks, and late night parties. Each event has a slightly different energy here thanks to the setting, the views, and the flow between the indoor and outdoor areas.
What makes Rockwater stand out is the combination of great food, thoughtful service, and plenty of flexibility. The team are very hands on with planning and can support with menus, timings, entertainment, and creative ideas to help bring an event to life. Premium options like exclusive hire, private bars, and tailored food and drink packages make it very easy to build something that feels personal. The whole venue has a breezy, uplifting feel that suits everything from all day workshops to after dark celebrations.
Rockwater is easy to reach along the seafront in Hove, with nearby parking, good public transport options, and step free access throughout the main areas. We had an absolutely lovely family experience at Rockwater in Hove! Tim was such a kind and welcoming host, and really took care of us when we arrived and throughout. The food was absolutely excellent; by far and away the best fresh seafood dishes we’ve had in the area, all prepared fantastically. The views and atmosphere were lovely, too! We’ve visited in the past, and will definitely be back! Highly recommended! Thank you Tim and team for a wonderful evening!

Nice looking restaurant with a good view but was quite disappointed by the gluten free options, found out after ordering a gluten free burger that they couldn’t do it gluten free, was offered a salad instead which came with less food than the gluten option but cost the same. Similar with desert, the “gluten free” pudding had something removed to make it actually gluten free despite the menu saying it was gluten free rather than something that would be adapted to be made gluten free. The desert itself was quite unpleasant as the poached pear was really hard and the honeycomb was burnt. Similar issue with the salad I had as my main which was incredibly acidic. Overpriced and staff didn’t really check on our food so we didn’t get to comment until we were done. I’d come back for drinks but that’s all.
