Avon Gorge Hotel By Hotel Du Vin

The location of this hotel is lush! Such a beautiful little village to walk around! Breakfast at Avon Gorge was delicious, fresh and tasty!!!! Really really enjoyed it!!! Fortunately we get to do a lot of travelling. Unfortunately what we paid for the room and what we got, weren't the same. The room was small, clean but small and the 'view of the bridge' from our room was a stretch. You'll see in the picture how much of the bridge we could actually see. The bed however was soooooooo comfy!!!! Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I pay extra for a room that had no extras. Probably not.

We were staying here for my daughter's wedding. A beautiful building inside 😍 We were given an early check-in but due to the wedding dropped our bags and left. Unfortunately on getting to our room after the reception (midnight) our room was really warm and the air conditioning would not stay on a lower temperature than 19. It was just too hot. We couldn't open the window because it wouldn't stay open. The bathroom was extremely small. We had paid more than my son but his room was far bigger. We explained to reception the following morning and received an apology. The breakfast was very nice and enjoyable.

Not the sort of luxury hotel we expected! Lovely food and everything was okay and beds were comfy but the whole experience isn't really worth the price! Food was delicious and couldn't have been better and the deserts were incredible! Would definitely recommend the bread and butter pudding. Staff were okay but rooms really need re vamping and better parking is definitely needed as there is a small car park you can pay £6 for a night but could only really fit maybe 15 cars in at a push?
