Right in the city center, very comfy rooms, exceptional breakfast with great services by the employees. Present for you but not harassing. Just the right amount to enjoy the stay.

What a beautiful hotel situated in the centre of Cambridge. Staff really nice, especially the lady from Japan who went above & beyond at breakfast. She was lovely to my grandson every morning. Told him there was a pancake machine which he loved.

Memorable for all the wrong reasons Upon arriving at Hilton Cambridge City Centre, the concierge directed us to use the lift to take our luggage to reception on the first floor. No offer of assistance was made. The escalator was out of order—and remained that way for the duration of our stay. At reception, the unsmiling front desk attendant asked us to wait while she signed into her computer. That was fine; we weren’t in a rush. We were then handed our room keys and wished a pleasant stay. The dimly lit hallway was cluttered with wine bottles and an unattended cleaning cart, adding to the hotel’s overall lax impression. The room was adequate: a standard layout, dark, with no view, budget tea and coffee provisions, and no bar fridge. At nearly £300 a night, it felt overpriced. Given the Hilton brand pioneered many of the conveniences now considered standard in hotels, the service and facilities here fell short. The walls were paper thin, and the soundtrack of our stay included a crying baby next door. In the morning, we attempted to order coffee via the in-room dining app. The order failed to process—twice.

The hotel is generally quite pleasant, although some renovations would be beneficial. The bathrooms could use some attention, particularly the showers. However, the service and staff are wonderful, and the food is delicious. I believe the hotel is a good choice for an overnight stay. The location is also excellent.

We booked a room at Hilton Cambridge from 18–21 August 2025 for three nights. On the first day, we needed to travel to another city and, trusting the staff, left our room key with the receptionist so we could resume our stay. To our shock, when we returned the next day, the receptionist said we had already been checked out because housekeeping reported no guests for the last two days. When we raised the issue with the hotel manager, Alyssa Reyes, she claimed that handing the key to the receptionist automatically counts as a checkout. However, when we asked for the official regulation, she could not provide it. This is outrageous—guests can leave their luggage at the hotel, yet leaving a room key is apparently not allowed? Because of this “policy,” we lost our room unnecessarily. Adding insult to injury, the manager was extremely uncivilized, arrogant, and impolite. Resolving the issue required intervention from middle management, and even then the experience was stressful and frustrating. Overall, this hotel feels poorly managed, outdated in its practices, and uncaring toward guests. I would not recommend staying here if you expect professional service or basic courtesy.
