Steeped in history, the impressive Hall dates back to the time of Queen Elizabeth I's reign. The building is hidden within enchanting ancient woodland that opens to reveal the most gorgeous English garden. The beautiful surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for your special day and incredible settings for your important wedding photographs.
The venue is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in two stunning locations; you can choose to exchange your vows in the Rose Ball Room or in the unique setting of the island on the main lake. With both options, you can have 100 guests in attendance.
When you choose Longstowe Hall, you are guaranteed exclusive use of the beautiful Rose Ball Room to welcome your guests. The glorious gardens are the ideal place for you to celebrate your reception in style with up to 150 guests in the superb traditional marquee. The marquee is perfect for summer celebrations and truly embraces the essence of an English country house wedding. Seating in the marquee can be tailored to suit your requirements and the generous stage and dance floor are perfect for the evening festivities.

Very pretty, picturesque gardens, and water features. Only open once a month, and not allowed to look round the house. Not very busy. Café and toilet facilties were very good. Staff lovely and helpful. Lovely venue for weddings and receptions.

Absolutely beautiful gardens with lakes with a swan pair, cygnets & ducks. Tree collection is stunning, some incredible specimens. Herbaceous border and rose garden are glorious. Sitting in the courtyard of the Squash Court Cafe, a lovely spot in itself, you can have a rest and a tasty snack/cake & drink. The Hall's owner was present in the Rose Garden to answer questions and chat- extremely interesting & personable & you can hear a bit of the Hall's history- which was a great touch. They are sadly only open a limited number of weekends in the year- so do have a look at their website & grab an opportunity to visit if you can. They cater for weddings and special events- and can not imagine a more perfect venue than Longstowe Hall. Simply perfect.
