I enrolled into a part time English qualification course to raise my English grade. The teacher was nice and the classroom wasn't too packed, however the week after, I was kicked out because of my Autism despite them advertising on thier website "Inspirational. Inclusive. Influential." This behavior is discriminatory and goes against them being "Inclusive" as the definition of inclusive is "not excluding any of the parties or groups involved in something." Despite this, the building itself is quite nice. They have a subway connected, as in the store, and a cafe too.

Cardiff and Vale College is a great institution, but my experience with English tutor Jillian was very disappointing. Because of her ineffective teaching, the entire class failed, which didn’t happen in other subjects. I hope the college can provide better support for future students.

The college looks great and secure, but visitors can’t access the building without a pass and have to wait in the lobby for someone to collect them. There’s no toilet available for visitors, and staff even said it’s “not a public toilet.” There’s also no public toilet nearby. Honestly, it feels like a basic need that should be provided — it’s not a good example of how a public-facing institution should treat people.

I had a really disappointing experience studying here. 👎 Lack of support & Poor teaching Lecturers mostly give out briefs and disappear. Real teaching barely exists. Over two years, we had only one proper workshop session. The person responsible for the workshop space gave us just a single lecture during the entire course – and even then, we weren’t taught how to use the tools, equipment or space properly. No instructions, no support. 👎 No recognition for effort If you take initiative, work on side projects, or try to grow independently - no one notices. Meanwhile, those who put in minimal effort often get the same grades. 👎 Bias toward non-native speakers If English isn’t your first language, you may experience passive-aggressive comments or feel ridiculed. 👎 Poor communication Even when some lecturers are absent most of the time, they still blame you for not attending. It feels unfair and disorganized. Honestly, if I had followed only their programme without learning on my own, I would have left with no useful skills at all…

Jillian is the worst English tutor you could ever have! A whole class failed because of her false way of teaching. Never let her teach she wastes students precious time. 👎🏻
