May 2025Just returned from a weekend coach break at this hotel and would congratulate the chefs, waiters and head waiter for their excellent food. Plenty of it cooked nicely and well presented. Rooms were lovely and spacious and it was very quiet consider it's in a capital city.

May 2025The positives... the afternoon tea was delicious and served by a lovely lady who kept the drinks flowing. The bar area was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The gym attendant was very attentive and helped with all our queries. Now to the negatives. I am embarrassed to say I booked the spa and afternoon tea for my two daughter in laws birthdays and my mums mothers day gift. The Spa was very dated and in need of numerous repairs, the water fountain didn't work, one hairdryer was out of order, one shower was cordoned off, there were tiles fallen off the side of the pool near to the jacuzzi that needed replacing, the lights in the pool were faulty and flickering, the filter in the celing of the steam room was blocked with a towel. The whole spa looked dated and in need of refurbishment. I was very disappointed with my purchase and felt ashamed to have taken my family there.

April 2025The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are also large and comfortable. The windows in the room were very dirty, blocking what could have been a nice view. Room service is good. Parking is available for an additional fee. The pool is large enough for swimming, but the water was VERY dirty. Additionally, guests were using the pool, jacuzzi, and wet areas in their underwear, which made the experience uncomfortable. The hotel is dog-friendly, but the nightly charge per dog (£25) is extremely high.

May 2025Formal Complaint Regarding Disappointing Stay at Holland Hotel Cardiff. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service during my recent stay at Holland Hotel Cardiff. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of the standards I expected, and I feel compelled to share my concerns. From the moment we arrived, the front-of-house staff were incredibly unwelcoming, failing to acknowledge either myself or my partner. This lack of hospitality set a negative tone for our stay, leaving us feeling ignored and unappreciated. A warm and professional greeting should be the foundation of any guest experience, and its absence here was truly disappointing. In addition to this, it was nearly impossible to reach the hotel by phone. Whether we had questions or required assistance prior to our arrival, the lack of communication options added to our frustration and left us feeling unsupported. Adding to the disappointment, we were promised complimentary soft drinks in the mini-fridge, which were missing upon arrival. After calling room service, we had to wait 45 minutes to receive one Kit Kat, one still water, and one sparkling water—despite two people staying in the room. This not only failed to meet expectations but also highlighted a lack of attention to detail in guest services. Given the overall level of service, we feel like we would have been better off booking a 2-star hotel, where we might have received more courteous and attentive treatment. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these issues to improve the experience for future guests. I look forward to your response
