Built in 1816 for the wealthy William Hilton Cooke, Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa has continued to move with the times. In 1867 the ‘French chateau’ tower was added, in 1990 a new wing was created and in 2007 the property was enhanced with a health club and spa, stylish new executive bedrooms and conference and banqueting centre. Yet alongside these contemporary touches there remains something timeless about the house: a relaxed, homely atmosphere and service that makes you feel extra special.
Not only is the hotel a truly romantic wedding venue, it is one of the best located meeting venues in Cheshire, offering tailored all inclusive day and residential packages. This hotel is unbeatable, we got married here in march and they made it so special then. Today we checked in with our dogs because the roof of our house collapsed and the staff could not of been any kinder. They have made us feel so comfortable in our lowest hour. We had our wedding at Rookery Hall on the 18th of July this year and from start to finish the entire team were absolutely incredible. They made us feel comfortable, confident, and completely at ease throughout the whole process. On the day itself, everything went even better than we could have ever imagined. Every request was accommodated with such care, the staff were wonderful, the food was exceptional, and the venue itself is simply stunning. The bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the little touches – like room service breakfast on our wedding day – made it feel even more special. The following morning, we and our guests enjoyed a huge, delicious spread in a private room, which was the perfect way to round off the celebrations. Everything was perfect. A gorgeous venue, beautiful staff, and memories we will cherish for a lifetime. We cannot recommend Rookery Hall highly enough.

I recently photographed a wedding at Rookery Hall and it was such a wonderful experience. The venue is elegant and full of charm with so many beautiful spaces both inside and out. The staircase in particular is incredible for portraits. It creates a stunning and dramatic backdrop that really adds a sense of occasion to the photographs. The grounds are equally impressive with landscaped gardens and sweeping views that are perfect for natural and romantic portraits. There is a real variety here which means couples get a beautiful collection of images without ever needing to leave the venue. The team at Rookery Hall were excellent too. They were friendly, attentive and ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout the day which makes such a difference for couples, their guests and for suppliers. It is a venue that combines luxury with warmth and I would be delighted to return. For couples looking for a place that offers character, elegance and stunning photo opportunities, Rookery Hall is a fantastic choice.

Where to even begin? Booking our wedding at Rookery Hall two years in advance was the best decision we made. From that very first moment, we were completely captivated by the hotel's gorgeous surroundings, and we knew our vision for the day would come to life here. Over the two years leading up to the wedding, our relationship with the staff blossomed. We were always welcomed with open arms and felt like special guests every time we visited. The team is not only incredibly friendly but also a model of professionalism. A special thank you must go to our wedding coordinator, Catherine Sutherland, who was nothing short of spectacular. Her knowledge and advice were invaluable, and we simply couldn't have done it without her. The vendors she introduced us to were all fantastic, and it was so reassuring to know they had a great working relationship with Rookery Hall. The entire wedding weekend was flawlessly organized and ran so smoothly, from our arrival on Friday to our departure on Monday. We were able to just show up and enjoy every minute of our celebration, as everything had been so thoughtfully planned. We never had to worry or do any arranging; we just sat back and watched our perfect day unfold. The food was amazing, and our guests couldn't stop talking about it. We honestly don't have a single negative moment to share—it was just a perfect day. Rookery Hall will always have a special place in our hearts. My wife and I have stayed at Rookery Hall twice now and we love it there. The service is personal and professional, nothing is too much trouble for the dedicated staff who work there. The food is excellent and there is lots of choice. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds are so comfortable too. We also enjoyed the Spa and felt rejuvenated and relaxed after our treatment followed by a lovely swim in the pool. A truly fantastic experience, you won’t be disappointed.
