BEST HOTEL! I loved the pool, you get a gym, pool, squash court, sauna, jacuzzi, bar lounge and we paid cheap to! The room is small but not to small it’s perfect size, heating was so hot(you have a choice to put the heating on) I had to open the windows in the end because I was so hot, when I went I didn’t know how to work the sauna but oh well, food is really nice the breakfast you don’t have much choice but is still super good for what they give! Clean room, peaceful

Rooms need updating and servicing. The rooms ive stayed in all need attention, could do with the frontage been trimmed and maintaind yearly not when its overgrowen, work colleagues have mention sockets not working plus other niggles. Matresses could be better as seem very soft and cheap quality,(could just be old) been told food is good in the restaurant but haven't tried myself, bar is expensive but when aren't hotel bars, just always seems to be out of something even for the small range it has. Has lots of potential, havnt used gym or pool facilities yet

Attended Spa, booked for my Husbands birthday treat. We were both very disappointed. Environment was very poor and decor tired, obviously a decisionhas been made not to invest in refreshing. Locker numbers were in no order. Easier to say what we had access to, than not:- Pool with loose entry handrail. Dirty Jacuzzi- full of sediment, cold sauna and a medium towel. Steam room sealed off. Only 2 loungers. No one on duty to ask questions. Refreshments bar closed. Ivy coming through ceiling glass of the Orangery at top of the pool. We both had a cough and skin and eye effects from, what seemed to be excessive chlorine. Had a wonderful and relaxing 50 min treatment. Hot Stone, Facial and head massage by Katie. My back was much better after this. Very sore as so much work was needed. Thank you Katie.. worked wonders.

We had an awful recent stay at the Brook Mollington, as soon as walked into reception it smelt of smoke, the carpets were sticky and the place was falling apart. We were provided with room 14 and the door would not lock, there were burn marks and blackcurrant stains right on the carpet. The bedding was covered in blood stains, mould on the ceiling and stains on the bedding. We asked to move rooms so we’re told there was none available and management were very dismissive. To make things worse we asked for an iron and ironing board and this is what we were provided with, disgusting condition and not been Pat tested since 2009 so dangerous too. We were our eight year old son and the facilities and room were in awful condition and not satisfactory or safe to stay in. We have more photos than the ones I have included but needless to say we won’t be returning and the hotel was in a dirty condition and not welcoming whatsoever.

Ideally located for Chester and Wales. Has so much potential. However, on arrival, the exterior looks very run down. There was a notable smell of cannabis (this was 4.30pm on a Monday). First impressions were not overwhelming but it was clear that the cleaners don't take pride in their work. The Large front windows filthy and smears on anything meant to be shiny. We were given room 56 on the ground floor. The room was basic with amenities as expected and a large smart tv. However there were vile brown and yellow stains on the duvet and pillows, including mould and blood. What looked like (I hope) dried food splatters on the welcome book. Established cobwebs. Reported to reception who gladly moved us rooms. Then we entered the belly of the hotel which felt more like the Bates Motel with every step. Doorways were grubby and tatty with 80s style security glass, dodgy looking ceiling tiles, mismatched carpets and door numbers and a strange musty smell. It all felt like Fawlty Towers but creepier. We were given room 15 down a corridor which again smelled of weed. Much larger 2 roomed room however the conditions were the same. Stained and pancake flat pillows, holes in the sheets. Splats of I don't know what on walls and curtains and a delightful view of a fire escape. Needless to say we asked for a refund and didn't stay. Can't comment on any facilities or the food as if that's the care they take over simple bedding, I dread to think of the rest. I have thrown out less stained and flat pillows. The two staff on reception at night, a lady with glasses and an older gentleman, were very apologetic and gracious about it. Neither seemed particularly surprised by what we showed them which led me to believe this is not an isolated incident. The morning after I was called by one of the owners who was very apologetic and again polite and professional. He assured me the bedding which was not fit for purpose had been disposed of and that measures were being taken to improve the standards within the hotel. A refund was approved which we are just waiting to come through. The welcome pack includes a very long introduction from the owner, Fintan Gavin. Please Mr Gavin, invest in your business as it needs an overhaul. Don't let a period building rot away. Make this the Manor house it could easily be.
