Windmill Village Hotel, Golf Club & Spa

Lovely location, not the longest course you'll ever play but still plenty of fun, starts with 3 par3's which can cause a bit of a bottleneck when very busy,but the gentleman that is the starter does his best to keep play moving. Rooms really nice, food very good aswell. Enjoyed a great weekend with the boys

Considering we wasn’t meant to be staying here as I booked the Lea Marston hotel which booking.com which didn’t meet our requirements due to the timings of the pool for kids. The windmill village hotel not only allowed children in the pool the whole time but the staff were a different gravy. They couldn’t do enough for me and my 8 year old daughter to spend some quality time together. We didn’t want to leave, they let my daughter play in the chill out area, why I could enjoy time with her and also watch the Golf course being enjoyed by all ages of people which is great to see being a keen golfer. There are comments on here saying it’s dated, yes it slightly is but so is the Ritz. Those comments are not really necessary when you can leave the doors of that hotel and said, that has been an amazing weekend with my daughter. I could write all day about the hotel but my last thing to say is Thank you so much for making my daughter feel very special x

Stayed for 4 nights, food was delicious at the restaurant and the bar. When I ordered food at the bar though unfortunately my mocha came just after my food after I had to remind the member of staff about it. In the restaurant I was served by a beautiful lady who smelt lovely so I had to ask what perfume she was wearing but I forgot to ask her name. Every member of staff was always smiling and it was a lovely atmosphere. Unless in a car it is difficult to go out of the grounds as there is no pedestrian exit anywhere unless you walk down the side of the duel carriageway. There is a bus stop near where you exit the grounds though. The golf course wasn't included in my stay but you can play a round for less then £20 but unsure if you can hire clubs or not. The room was really cosy but it didn't have air-conditioning or a refrigerator and as I was staying several nights I could not store anything that needed to stay cold. Overall for the price I would rate it 8/10 Not much simple options so Food options 8/10 Food quality 9/10 Room is 7/10 as I expect more from the price. Area and grounds 8/10 only because no pedestrian exit and because it's a pain to exit directly into Coventry as you enter it on the slip road heading out of Coventry. Overall rating 8.5/10 so it just about gets a 5 star rating.
