Makeney Hall Hotel, Exclusive Hire

Amazing venue, in the Derbyshire countryside. They have upgraded the afternoon tea to add sausages rolls and soup, very nice touch. The whole feel to the place is so relaxing and peaceful. Love the conservatory restaurant, you feel like you are eating with a real English garden, and the views across the valley are spectacular from the hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

Makeney Hall and Nicola literally made our wedding the most amazing day. From the service, to their help and support our entire day, it was wonderful. Even if you are only using their rooms, they are all stunning and the breakfast is perfect. Would give over 5* if I could!!

This is a beautiful hotel with such gorgeous grounds, we attended a wedding so only really had engagement with the staff at check in and breakfast but all were polite. The rooms and hallways in the courtyard side needed a little updating but overall this was a lovely hotel and we would definitely go again. There was a slight issue with the shower but when I told the reception team they noted it for repair straight away. I would like to add that although the venue is wheelchair accessible in some areas more consideration in the main building needs to be given as to get to the disabled toilets we had to leave the building and go back to the courtyard area in order to access the ramps to toilet this wasn’t great.
