The Tormaukin is a 300-year-old Scottish country inn, set in a peaceful glen near the world-famous Gleneagles. Rich in history and character, the venue retains its traditional olde worlde charm, with warm interiors, original features, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Nestled in the Ochil Hills, the inn boasts idyllic scenery while remaining centrally located within Scotland—just a 40-minute drive of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, and Stirling. This makes it ideal for guests travelling from across the country or those seeking a cultural city day trip while still enjoying a true countryside retreat.
Available for exclusive use, the inn offers a rare combination of a historic venue, on-site accommodation, and in-house catering, making it particularly well suited to events that unfold over one or more days. The Tormaukin has 10 individually designed bedrooms, each with its own character, allowing guests to stay overnight and fully enjoy the venue without the need for onward travel.
The venue is ideal for a wide range of events, including weddings, family celebrations, milestone birthdays, stag and hen groups, retreats, team-building stays, conferences, private dining events, wakes, and christenings. Guests are drawn to The Tormaukin for its privacy, traditional Scottish atmosphere, and the feeling of having a country inn entirely to themselves.
All events benefit from in-house catering, prepared and served by the private chef and experienced team. Catering packages can be tailored to suit the style and scale of each event, from relaxed communal dining to more structured celebrations, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the stay.
For smaller gatherings, The Tormaukin can also accommodate private dining or meetings within individual spaces, such as the Dining Room or Garden Room, subject to availability. These options are offered on a catered basis and are particularly suited to weekday lunches, intimate celebrations, or focused meetings, while maintaining the character and atmosphere of the inn.

Exclusive Use – Event Hire (Non-Residential)
This option is ideal for private dinners, celebrations, small weddings, milestone birthdays, corporate gatherings, and family events. Guests have exclusive use of all ground-floor public spaces, including:
- The Dining Room
- The Garden Room
- The Bar
- Snug / Reception Area
- Games Room
This option is suitable for single-day or evening events where guests are not staying overnight.
Catering is required for all such events, and is priced separately per head, with food provided by the in-house team and staff on site for the duration of the event. The bar will also be open and staffed as mandatory, subject to a pre-paid minimum spend bar tab for guests to enjoy all drinks. No external alcohol is permitted. Draft beer is available as an optional upgrade.
