Assembly Rooms Edinburgh is located in the very heart of the city; since opening in 1787 it has been central to the city's cultural and business life.
Today, following a full restoration project, the venue is now back to its original magnificent glory, providing once again a stunning and unique setting for any special occasion or function. Absolutely beautiful venue. The staff are so pleasant, too. Last night my friends and I went along to see Darren Mcgarvey's Trauma Industrial Complex. Thanks to Darren and Mhairi Black for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I do feel a smaller venue would make the show feel a bit more intimate for the audience. That's not a complaint though; merely an observation as an audience member.

I have been to a few gigs and acts here over the years. It is a popular venue during the Fringe and is geared up to dealing with crowds. The main hall upstairs is quite stunning when you grab a drink at the interval. The Assembly Rooms is also right in the middle of Edinburgh to it is very easy to find, but don't confuse it with the Assembly Hall!
