An absolutely magnificent place — I highly recommend it. What truly stands out is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, the quality of service, and the excellent location of the hotel. Nestled in nature, it features a birdwatching hut, golf courses, and even wild cherry, apple, and sour cherry trees. This is the perfect harmony of history and nature. 😊👏👏

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Magical Wedding Experience at Dalmahoy Golf & Country Club We recently had our wedding at Dalmahoy Golf & Country Club and cannot put into words how perfect everything was. From the moment we first visited the venue, we were made to feel so welcome – and that warmth and professionalism continued right through to the big day. We want to give a very special mention to Emma, our wedding coordinator, who was absolutely phenomenal. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her – no matter how big or small the request, she handled everything with such calm, kindness, and efficiency. She truly went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and that we were completely relaxed and able to enjoy every moment. Her attention to detail, support, and genuine care made all the difference. The venue itself is stunning – both inside and out. From the beautiful ceremony room to the elegant reception space and breathtaking grounds, Dalmahoy offers the perfect mix of luxury and Scottish charm. Our guests are still raving about the food, the service, and the setting. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better place or team to host our special day. Thank you, Emma, and the entire Dalmahoy team, for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime. Highly recommended to any couple looking for a truly unforgettable wedding venue!

Dalmahoy Hotel is a little oasis in the countryside while only being a reasonable bus ride from Edinburgh and a quick drive to Edinburgh airport. From the hotel itself, you can walk to the main road outside the stone walls and hop on the bus (X27) to Edinburgh. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The rooms are nice and clean although somewhat outdated. There is no AC but you are provided a small fan. The property has a few bar/restaurants. We did not try them as the reviews are iffy. However, we did grab takeaway pizza close-by at Nat’ A’ Napoli. It was incredible! All in all, the hotel and grounds are beautiful for a very reasonable price.

Do you shun City Life? You prefer out in the country. Friend this is your place near Edinburgh. It It is quaint and has that old world charm, yes it may look like a castle, but no it's not. If you want to eat after nine, it better be before 9:45 otherwise they closed the kitchen at the bar. Latin people beware eating late is not the thing here. Drinking late is. The rooms are good and plenty large. They include a hot kettle and a fridge. If you're using public transportation you need to know that you'll be walking about eight minutes to the bus stop. There is a church near the entrance, you should visit it along with the cemetery. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for getting out of the city and having a quiet surrounding where one could relax and enjoy the countryside.

We stayed here for one night and I would say it’s more like a 3 star hotel than a 4 star. The rooms seemed to be as described, the bathroom was fine too, just a very standard hotel room overall. I went to use the shower and realised one of the towels was still dirty and had not been changed by cleaning staff. Also the soap and shampoo at the shower had been refilled with water to give the illusion it was full of product but in reality just soapy water was coming out when I used it. Didn’t bother me so much as I had backups but just kind of lazy in my opinion. We ate in the brasserie and personally I didn’t find it was anything too spectacular, the seating of the brasserie and the bar beside it felt very dated. The nachos weren’t bad and I had the Cajun pasta which was fine but again nothing spectacular- I was expecting better from a 4 star hotel. The pool was nice and water was warm when we got in. We also made use of the “games room” which is just an old pool table and couple of chairs but it was grand. The staff were so nice particularly the bar staff at the leisure club. The grounds are lovely but I don’t think the outside is a good reflection of what’s inside. It was grand just expensive for what it was !
