What can I say, this property is gorgeous- location is exceptional! The best part..? GEORGE!! The GM. He is professional, lovely, and will make your stay as wonderful as you can dream it. Thank you! We celebrated Golf, and our 30th wedding anniversary here in room 202. Checked out 8/22 morning. The amenities are luxurious, and the drinks at the bar at the absolute best!! The breakfast needs improvement. But the service is excellent as well. Thank you! For the most memorable stay.

We booked three rooms for six of us on a family vacation, and we could not have been happier with this hotel. Some of the reviews complained about the size of the room, but we have been in multiple hotels across Europe, and these rooms are certainly not small in comparison. As other reviews have indicated, the location of this hotel is perfect; however, the best thing about this hotel was the staff and the service they provided. There was always a “good morning” when we came downstairs for the day and we were greeted at the door every time we came into the hotel. The restaurant staff at our morning breakfast was also just fantastic. Our experience could not have been better and when we come back to Edinburgh, we will book this hotel immediately - no looking around at other hotels for us!

As per usual the InterContinental on George Street continues to impress with its timeless elegance. From the moment in have step inside, the atmosphere felt refined yet welcoming. Of course the rooms are beautifully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable a perfect blend of luxury and calm blending in a perfect harmony. The location could not be better, right in the heart of Edinburgh, making it effortless to explore the city and the shops all in George Street nearby. The staff are consistently wonderful: friendly, attentive, and genuinely willing to help with anything you may need. A truly delightful stay. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

We absolutely loved our 10-night stay at The George Hotel. The front desk staff and concierge were always so helpful. We especially want to give a shout out to David, who was our bellman and was often manning the door with a ready “Hello” and an interest in what we’d be doing each day. He brought our bags up on check-in, and gave us so many wonderful tips about the city and the nearby neighborhood. He got our stay off to a marvelous start. What a treasure he is! The room was spacious, with a view of the city and the Firth of Forth that amazed us every day. The restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner. And the manager closing up the Burr & Company coffee house was so helpful in providing me with utensils a local restaurant was unable to give me for a takeaway order. The location is exceptional, and walkable to almost anywhere you want to go. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We had a great stay!
