About Venue
The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre at 25 Palmerston Place is a listed building in a World Heritage Site. It is an impressive Victorian Townhouse which has been lovingly restored to its former glory. It provides a beautiful setting for all the activities of The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre and the home of Edinburgh Association of Spiritualists.
It is conveniently located in the Heart of Edinburgh’s West End, just a stone throw away from Haymarket Railway Station and convenient for all local transport links. We are easily found, right next door to St Mary’s Cathedral.
We are keen to be a resource for the whole community and as such, we offer a range of room hire suitable for meetings, classes, private functions, etc, which can be hired by businesses, individuals and local community groups, etc.
Our Mary Duffy room is a beautiful space with high ceilings and original cornicing.
This room seats a maximum of 20 guests in theatre style and 15 in boardroom.

Cancellation policy
Cancellation: By The Centre: We shall use all reasonable endeavours to provide the facilities as specified in the quotation. If for reasons outwith our control we are unable to make The Centre available or provide any of the goods or services in the quotation, we shall not be liable for any resulting costs and shall refund any payment made by you less any costs already incurred by us to the date of cancellation by us. By The Hirer: Should you cancel a booking less than 2 months in advance we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee as follows: Cancellation 2 weeks or less 100% of quotation price Cancellation 1 month-2 weeks in advance 50% of quotation price Cancellation 2 months-1 month in advance 25% of quotation price You must notify us of any cancellation in writing, such cancellation taking effect from the date the notice is received by us. We shall use all reasonable endeavours to mitigate loss by taking such steps as we, at our sole discretion deem appropriate, in order to rebook the available date (any success will be taken into account when calculating the cancellation fee due by you).

I visited the center to get a reading and it was wonderful. The energy in the space is extremely positive, calming, and healing and my tarot reading with Laura was done with professionalism and care...and it was spot on!
