Other rules
We hope that guests will appreciate and enjoy the venue and treat it with respect. Stubbers Adventure Centre is a working children’s activity centre. Users of the exclusive Walled Garden venue and their guests do so in the full knowledge that higher standards of behaviour and respect for property and staff are required than might be expected at other venue. From experience we can say that the venue is not suitable for teenage parties and the like. The Walled garden does not take bookings for parties for under 21 years old or younger. Family events are welcome. No dogs are permitted in the Walled Garden or Adventure Park. Clients are not permitted to bring alcohol onto the premises. Alcohol will only be served in the Walled Garden venue

Nice place for spending a weekend sunny day. It wasn't extremely busy, which was good for the children being able to use the playing equipment without waiting. We will definitely come back :)

My 11yr old Grandson has been to Stubbers with his school, he had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed his mini adventure break, based on the Ockendon Road, Upminster. It is an expansive site with a very large Lake. Parking was simple with two large car parks. He has participated in a whole host of activities including climbing, laser tag, water sports like paddle boarding and banana boat. The only criticism my grandson had was the tents were very cold and he couldn’t warm up, even in his sleeping bag with pjs and a hooded onesie on. He has had an experience that I’m sure will stay with him forever. Thank you Oasis Academy Pinewood and thank you to the staff of Stubbers👍

We enjoyed the air rifle shooting. The person showing us what to do was friendly and knowledgeable. It was clean and tidy. The cafe had a small selection of hot food that was freshly heated up. Plenty of seats outside. Lots of parking. There was a park to play in, which was fun. The only issue I had was navigating the website. Where I clicked on the air rifle picture on the home page and booked it, it didn't once say about paying general admission for any adult not taking part. I thought I was included as a supervising adult. I only realised once I had the booking confirmation and called up to clarify.

Disappointing Experience – Let Down by Staff Attitude My wife, our 5-year-old son, and I recently visited Stubbers in Upminster and booked a canoe session, something we were really looking forward to. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by poor staff attitude and a lack of basic customer service. When we arrived at the watersports area, all the staff appeared busy and there was no clear direction or explanation of the process. After waiting around and asking for help, we were sent to a teenage staff member who was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She spoke to us with zero people skills and acted as though we had personally inconvenienced her just by being there. The canoe tipped when she pushed us off into the water, which we didn’t mind – that kind of thing can happen and we were ready for a bit of fun. But her reaction was unnecessarily harsh. She said in all her years she’d "never seen that happen" and walked off without checking if we were okay – particularly concerning given our 5-year-old was involved and visibly climbing back up after the tip. There was no basic courtesy, no check-in, no care shown at all. For a family-friendly location that we’ve genuinely enjoyed in the past during summers, this experience has really put us off. It’s a shame, because Stubbers itself has a lot of potential – but customer-facing staff really make or break the day, especially when children are involved. We hope this is addressed going forward.

My son recently went to Stubbers as part of his school trip. We had to go and pick him up on the 3rd day as he had a stomach bug. He vomited several times on that day. Today it’s been 4 days already and he is still weak, nauseated all day and not eating. He has been at home and missed another fun school trip he was looking forward to. I am so upset as my son went to Stubbers all excited and healthy. He definitely caught it from the dirty toilets/showers or foods. This place is visited by lots and lots of children. More precautions must be taken to keep the place clean and safe.Definitely never sending him there again!
