From the moment I walked in, the stunning Christmas decorations set a warm and festive tone. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, creating a relaxed dining experience with no pressure to vacate the table after finishing my meal. Portion sizes were spot on, just what I was hoping for and even the small orange juice was surprisingly generous. The place had a lively, welcoming vibe, filled with groups of friends and families celebrating together. I’m pretty sure I spotted at least three birthday gatherings! A lovely spot for a cheerful, unhurried meal.

I had a lovely meal at Emily’s in Formby! I started with the hot honey goujons, which were perfectly crispy with just the right kick of spice and sweetness. For the main, I had the duck ragu, which was rich, tender, and full of flavour — one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a while. I also tried the pineapple juice, which was fresh and refreshing. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and service in Formby! We’re hoping to come back to try the brunch menu in the near future!

God this place is great. Immaculate vibes in part due to the stunning décor and also in part due to the fantastic staff. Menu looks great, and they cater to all dietary requirements that I could see. They were very diligent in asking about allergies too, which is always a positive. Food is the ultimate star of the show, and we had a really delicious brunch. Although I was envious of the cooked breakfast that my dear old mum got, I have to strongly recommend their take on Beans on Toast. While you may raise your eyebrows at the price, what you get is absolutely mammoth slabs on sourdough with the most incredible topping of fresh haricot beans, a thick and tasty sauce, crispy pancetta, and lots of grated parmesan. I couldn't finish it, as much as I wanted to. Location is easy to get to, but we were lucky to get parking outside. I'm assuming there's a nearby car park for the town but unsure. We will be back.
