Sonam helped me during my stay after my travel agent messed up our reservation, and she was an absolute delight and incredibly helpful. She really helped salvage a terrible start to a trip, and I appreciate her greatly. Thomas, one of the bartenders, was very funny and showed us a great time as well. Great service all around.

We stayed at the Grosvenor for 2 nights in a deluxe room with breakfast. I believe the hotel was fully booked, but at no time did it seem overwhelmed by guests. The hotel is very nicely decorated throughout and didn't look tired. Check in was good and friendly. Our room was facing the Botanic gardens which was nice. There was plenty of space in the room and everything worked ok. The shower was pretty good and there was sufficient storage. At breakfast, there were plenty of staff and we had no problems being seated even though it was quite busy. The food was very good (usual fried breakfast and pastries) and there was more than enough of everything. We were at the hotel for a wake, hosted by the hotel and they did a great job with the food and service. The staff were particularly understanding of the event. We used the BeGin Bar for 2 nights the bar staff were very nice and really interacted with us which was a very nice experience. A number of family members stayed at the same time and we all had a good experience. All in all a very nice visit and we will return.

The hotel is fine, but calling it four stars is kind of insane. It is firmly three stars. The room itself was clean and decent, but the bathroom seriously needs help. It was rusted and moldy in the shower and around the sink, and the fan didn’t work so the room was constantly steaming everything up. No mini-fridge - kind of a staple in 2025, no? Extremely basic cable channels only, no program rental options, and no option to log into a streaming service despite it being a smart TV. We got excited to see the option on the main menu for casting from our devices (so we could perhaps watch a movie) only to find that the TV was blocked from casting. Why show it as an option on your TV main menu? No water or coffee available to guests beyond breakfast hours. Was rudely scolded and eyed up and down by a very terse male restaurant staff member on our first full day in (very jet lagged) when I was looking for the coffee machine I had been told was on the first floor. All i did was walk through the open door to the breakfast room from the lobby. He wouldn’t let me in just to grab a coffee. That is fine, but then it shouldn’t be advertised and also shouldn’t be met with rudeness and a bit of creepiness too. Front entrance as advertised in their professional photos wasn’t even accessible, which seemed misleading and was also confusing for pickups/dropoffs. Woman at front desk for most of our stay had the personality of soap. She honestly couldn’t be bothered. I genuinely have sympathy for hospitality workers because it’s often a thankless job dealing with public all the time (I’ve done it before myself) but it’s definitely weird that they chose that line of work only to be so unfriendly immediately upon our arrival. Saving grace is the location. But this hotel - a former Hilton (still shown on the side of the building & really needs to be painted over because the faded emblem is symbolic of what has become of this hotel since they relinquished ownership) - desperately needs to be managed by a larger hotel company or something to get it back on track.

So disappointed in this hotels management. We stayed here for our wedding and the way we were treated was shocking the management don't care about customer concerns. We were let down and even when raising our concerns we were met with bad attitude and shocking communication thankfully all other suppliers were amazing and this hotel is the only part that let our wedding down would not recommend staying at this hotel to anyone. We gave management plenty opportunity to resolve this before posting this review. Avoid if possible.

Sadly the negative reviews ring true. Just checked in. Was told botanical garden view. Street view. With a tree - suppose that's considered a view, since it may be coming from the botanical gardens. Sink cracked, toilet disgusting and soiled, shower moldy, room old and badly needs redone. Headboard flithy. Reception rude and dismissive. This is NOT four star hotel. I tried to leave and I would have gone somewhere else but they were not willing to give me a refund. Despite the unsatisfactory conditions. Is this acceptable for a Glasgow four star hotel?
