Just stayed for 3 nights and we had a lovely time. The staff are all amazing they could not do enough, they were friendly and very polite. The hotel was amazing and set in beautiful grounds. The only thing I would say was the swimming pool was a little shallow, not sure why it could not be a little deeper when they designed it, but it was nice and warm and very clean. The food was fantastic and we were bang in the middle of the New Forest, we will be going back for sure.

A stunning hotel with real character, surrounded by forest and wildlife. Visiting friends who were staying in the Munro Suite. Extremely attentive staff. Attention to detail very obvious. The food was well presented and delicious. Would recommend without reservation.

A stunning location and a magnificent building in The New Forest. Excellent attentive staff, superb food and very comfortable rooms. If we are picky, we marked the bathrooms down by one point due to an overbath shower being awkward for our party to use. Maybe some modernization in this area is needed. Would thoroughly recommend!

Great place, fantastic staff very attentive. The food is great and the grounds fabulous. The rooms are nice, not enough power points for charging phone. Also a car charging point would be great. The rooms are a great size, ours had views of the forest. They have a nespresso machine, very nice range of quality tea and FRESH milk in the fridge.

Let’s talk about ‘Accessibility’ We attended a friend’s wedding recently and stayed for 2 nights in an accessible room as my wife struggles with walking due to MS. The ‘accessible’ room is the furthest away from reception and everything else too. To get from reception to our room she had to wheel herself down a poorly made wooden ramp, then wait for a member of staff to operate the small lift, wheel through the bar to another small lift, then wheel down a long narrow corridor, to another small lift, through a heavy door and then the room is on the left. What an absolute mission. To get to the ceremony, she had to do all of the above but then go cross country around all of the grounds. Which was also difficult as the staff had to move guests who were having massages outdoors. The ramp was broken to get down the steps to the wedding. We both found this very stressful. The wet room in our hotel room didn’t drain properly so ended up being a paddling pool. The staff tried their best to accommodate her but unfortunately the venue isn’t accessible enough. Apart from this, the breakfast delivered to the room was lovely! The room service sandwiches were also great. Perfect for a late night snack after a few drinks at the bar. The wedding itself was fab. The wedding planner lady (I didn’t catch her name) was helpful when we were trying to navigate our way to the wedding breakfast. Also shout out to Harry who helped with the lifts & bags.
