The Montagu Arms Hotel is set in the picturesque and historic village of Beaulieu. Full of character with its oak panelling, open fire places and quintessentially English gardens, the hotel provides an intimate and exclusive setting for your wedding in the New Forest where romance and history entwine. The hotel is licensed for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies for up to 100 guests held in either our traditional Oakwood Room, with original parquet flooring, or our elegant Terrace Restaurant, with views over our pretty English garden. We can accommodate 100 people for your wedding breakfast in our 3 AA Rosette restaurant plus up to 130 guests for your evening reception. From the moment you arrive at the Montagu Arms Hotel you will receive our famous red carpet welcome. Your wedding day seamlessly unfolds with or experienced and discreet wedding team, providing outstanding service based on traditional English etiquette, leaving you to relax and enjoy your perfect day.
The quality of food at The Montagu Arms will ensure your weding is one your guests will talk about for years. Head chef and Roux scholar, Matt Tomkinson will personally plan your wedding breakfast menu with you to ensure you are delighted with every aspect. Matt has carefully selected all his food suppliers to guarentee the highest quality organic ingredients for your dishes. Matt also grows his own herbs and vegetables in his kitchen garden and has fresh eggs daily from his own chickens. After your perfect day, you and your wedding party can retire to one of our twenty two individually designed and elegantly appointed suites or bedrooms. Some of our suites and bedrooms enjoy views over the magnificient Beaulieu Palace Estate whilst others overlook our enchanting and much loved English county garden.

A really lovely place to stay, good car park lovely gardens, and a characterful hotel. The staff are welcoming and excellent, rooms are well appointed and we had a very comfy bed. Had a nice meal at Monty’s. The breakfast buffet is excellent with plenty choice of quality fruits cheeses, breads, meats, everything. We really enjoyed our visit it exceeded our expectations

Stayed here for 3 nights, we booked the hayloft room. The staff were all very traditional and attentive, the room was fantastic with upstairs sitting area and a very large bathroom. Complimentary sloe gin and water a nice touch. Continental Breakfast included, was plentiful and excellent quality. Thank you for our stay.

We stayed at the hotel for our wedding and my birthday combined, and it was our best ever hotel experience. The setting is glorious, the atmosphere excellent, the service impeccable and the room was amazing. The staff were especially good, being very friendly and attentive to all our needs. Special details like champagne for my birthday, wedding and birthday cards made it all the more memorable. We will never forget our wedding at the Montagu, and intend to return for our first anniversary.

Genuinely dog-friendly, wonderful place to say. Spacious hotel with lots of character. Plenty of outdoor areas to potter about in. Our room exceeded our expectations - amazing bathroom! Staff are welcoming and attentive. The dog bed and hamper for our greyhound were both thoroughly enjoyed. We genuinely really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Back bar/garden is lovely with the water feature in a sunny day. I would say the hotel as a whole is feeling pretty dated, a lot of the room furniture feels like from the 80’s. Did not try the cooled breakfast but the continental breakfast was very good. Great location for a trip out of the city.
