About Venue

A unique conference venue set in listed buildings in stunning and unusual grounds. Free onsite parking for 150 to 200 cars and within easy reach of the A10, M25 and railway services.

We have two larger spaces seating approx 100 each, several spaces for smaller hires and a 96-seat cinema/ with pull-out writing boards and flexible audio-visual facilities which can be tailored to your requirements.

Extensive outdoor space is available.

Walking or tractor tours of the 170-acre site and trips on our replica railway can be incorporated into your day to make your event memorable.

Prices are from £250 per day for a smaller space to £500 per day for larger spaces.

Our Theatre has tiered seating, stage and lighting. It holds 96 seats complete with pullout writing boards and spaces for 4 wheelchairs. We also have a lift and wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities. Equipped with extensive and flexible audiovisual facilities which can be tailored to your requirements. The external lobby area and toilets are adjacent to the theatre. The Lecture Theatre is equipped with an Induction Loop System for use with Hearing Aids. Wheelchair access via Lift. Accessible toilets on the ground floor.

Our equipment has been newly upgraded thanks to our Heritage Recovery Grant. New spec to follow and available upon request.

Had a wonderful sun soaked day here. The staff (all volunteers) know their stuff and are very friendly and knowledgable. It's a lovely quiet place, saw deer roaming and an absolutely massive Heron whilst on the truck ride round the grounds. Well worth a visit and the kids get to make and fire rockets!

A amazing day thanks to the staff of volunteers. The armoury well what can I say the best collection I’ve ever seen. The guy that explained about the collection was so informative. I’ve just been on the Royal Gunpowder Mills walking tour. What a great experience. The history at Waltham Abbey is fascinating, and was brought to life by the knowledgeable volunteers/guides. We were a small group of 8, so plenty of opportunities to ask as many questions as we liked. The tour allowed access to many of the buildings and structures that you only see from afar on the tractor tour. For anyone with an interest in military history, explosives, or industrial architecture l’d highly recommend this tour. Many thanks to the guides for giving us their time.
