Shendish Manor Hotel is at the forefront of hospitality – our aim is to create the perfect day. Set in 160 acres of beautiful and idyllic countryside, it is hard to believe that we are just 20 minutes way from central London by train.
Whether your Wedding is a small occasion for 20 to a large gathering for 400, Shendish Manor has the facilities you require.
The Manor building dates back to 1853 and exudes charm and timeless elegance. The Manor House is an ideal space to host your wedding for up to 94 guests during the day, and up to 160 in the evening. The Manor has its own entrance, a spacious and refined lounge area and private bar. With many original features including high ornate ceilings, oak panelling, Jacobean fireplace and a sweeping staircase - there are a number of unique photo opportunities to take advantage of.
The Manor House opens out onto the grounds of the estate and the Dutch gardens – perfect for enjoying your drinks reception, and another opportunity to capture some great photos.
The Manor Gardens also provide an option for an outside civil ceremony. We are licensed to up to 120 people for an outside ceremony, under the stone gazebo.
The Contemporary addition to the Hotel has added the spacious Apsley Suite to seat a maximum of 320 guests banquet style, or 400 guests theatre style for a ceremony. The suite is complete with kitchen space, allowing us to hire the Apsley Suite on a dry-hire basis.
The Apsley Suite opens up onto its own private walled Gardens, with a water feature. The suite boasts an abundance of air conditioned space, elegant décor and sparkling chandeliers to create a perfect backdrop for your celebrations.
The Apsley Suite is the perfect choice for the larger celebration. We have long standing relationships with caterers within the Asian, Jewish and Greek communities.
With 70 bedrooms, we offer it all on-site to make that perfect package you are looking for. With our close proximity to London, Luton Airport, the M25 and M1 it is a popular choice when getting family and friends together from all over the UK.

June 2025Beautiful manour house, perfect location for a trip to Harry Potter Studios too. Furthermore, I couldn't be more impressed with the service of the night staff. My roommate neglated to tell me that she snores like the engine of an army tank. At around 2:30 am I was forced to seak help and the lovely gentlemen on the desk immediately found me a room that I could use right on the other end of the house... I could still hear my roommate in the distance however I was able to drift off and grab a good few hours - couldn't be more grateful to the night staff, they're truly a credit to Shendish 💛 I will absolutely be returning... with ear plugs.

May 2025After a bad experience at another hotel, we were so grateful to find this one.The staff were warm and attentive, the room was bright and spacious, and the garden added a peaceful touch. There was a party the first night, but the music ended by 11:30 p.m. and we weren’t disturbed after that. A delightful stay — highly recommended.

April 2025I was initially skeptical after reading some negative reviews, but we chose to stay here due to the attractive package price and its close proximity to Warner Bros. Studios. To my surprise, everything exceeded expectations! From the moment we arrived, everything was just right — convenient parking, a beautifully maintained property, and a warm, inviting ambience with a display library. Our room (No. 40, old wing) was an absolute standout: spotlessly clean, fresh, and not a trace of dust in sight. The manor itself is impeccably kept, with picturesque gardens, vibrant flowers, towering trees, and even a charming chapel that adds to the fairytale setting. Breakfast, service, strong WIFI, and the overall location were all fantastic. It turned out to be a perfect stay!

June 2025A really beautiful hotel, with lovely views and our room no 21 was very nice and spacious I didn't get a picture of the bathroom but it was a wet room and very nicely presented. We didn't have an evening meal but we did have breakfast which was nice a continental buffet, my only point would be that this is such a lovely hotel maybe the hot breakfast could be made to order rather than buffet.

May 2025Beautiful location and a lovely place to stay. We stayed in a renovated room - the bridal suite - which was a fab size with stunning views. Best of all though was the attentive guest team; bar staff, hotel, reception and housekeeping were all absolutely fantastic.
