Located in the stunning and central Bedfordshire countryside lies The Rufus Centre, a venue that is run by a specialist team with a wealth of experience. Our supportive team will work alongside you and your fiancée to ensure that your wedding reception is as memorable, relaxed and stress free as we can possibly make it. We can offer you as much, or as little help and assistance as you need.
Our Wedding suite has plain and simple décor making it the ideal blank canvas for any colour scheme or theme and together with our stunning ceiling canopy and twinkling curtain it provides the perfect backdrop for your day. We offer a comprehensive decorations package or can work with independent decorators to ensure you get the look you want.
We have a civil wedding license, ideal if you want to hold everything all under one roof. Our Wedding Suite can accommodate up to 200 guests for both a ceremony and reception. We also have rooms suitable for an intimate ceremony with 25 - 30 guests or a larger ceremony for 70 guests.
The Rufus Centre has spacious lawns and a picturesque wedding garden ideal for those important photographs, as well as providing an ideal space for arrival drinks or evening barbecue.
If being outside or in a marquee is what you have dreamed of for your wedding – then The Rufus Centre field would be ideal. It is private, enclosed, flat and secure as it can be only be accessed via the Rufus Centre car park.
For your wedding dinning we offer several options, we work with local caterers to provide a variety of different menus or we are happy to work with your own specially selected caterer so you get to choose exactly what you want for the day.

Great small venue, café excellent. Great little Gem for the community, shame stopped doing the meal and entertainment for the elderly as new a lot of people who really enjoyed it. I think it was due to lack of support and funding, difficult times.

We had our wedding reception at The Rufus Centre, and it was absolutely perfect! Louise and her team were amazing professional, friendly, and attentive to every detail. Everything ran so smoothly, and they made sure all our questions were answered promptly. From start to finish, they made our special day stress-free and truly memorable. Highly recommend!

We had our wedding and evening reception here. Louise was so efficient and helpful, any questions we had she was there ready. The venue looked amazing! So many of our guests were shocked with how brilliant it looked; a complete transformation from a clean shell. What we really appreciated was the flexibility! If we wanted our own decorations we could use them, if we didn't we could use the ones they provide in the package. (we went for both our own and theirs). The wedding breakfast and evening buffet was AMAZING. Will definitely be recommending to friends/family in the future.
