We went to Grims Dyke Hotel to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. From the moment we stepped on the grounds it felt like we are in a fairytale. Reception was welcoming and we got a fabulous room in Garden Lodge which was clean, it had a comfortable bed, a beautiful garden and a jacuzzi; variety of tea and coffee and plentifull toiletries. I must say housekeeping team are doing a great job. We made our way to the restaurant for dinner and we prefered to sit at a table outside as the weather was great. The restaurant and bar staff were perfect from begining to the end, the drinks/cocktails and the food were out of this world, compliments to the chefs. The grounds are superb as we have seen them on our walk with our dog. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and again we were greeted by wonderfull staff. We had a fantastic experience and we will definitely come back again as for London I find the hotel to be affordable for a good guality stay. Thank you to everyone at the Grims Dyke for such an impecable service!

This was a lovely stay. My daughter got married nearby but we spent the wedding night here. Rooms were beautiful. They organised a private breakfast for us as so many stayed, I can honestly say the cooked breakfast was the best I ever had!

I've not stayed at the hotel, so cannot comment on that aspect. We were a group of friends, went there for drinks and bites. It was a summer day, so we sat outside which was lovely. The grounds are really well- maintained, and there's seating on both sides depending on whether you like sun or no sun. We went for sun. On the drinks front, strangely there is no drinks menu, but there is a wine list. You need to order at the bar, and we were told that they can make pretty much anything we want. Some went for a cocktail, but weren't too impressed. Food - there's not much choice if you're a vegetarian. We had the sandwich platter which was good. Would love to visit again maybe to explore more of the grounds and the restaurant.

Having celebrated our wedding reception at Grims Dyke in 1994 it seemed a good idea to stay at the hotel as we met up with family and friends. Unfortunately our room was not afforded the privacy we’d expected with a path passing directly behind our French Window Doors which had no net curtains. A simple scrambled egg breakfast was not at all nice however the staff were excellent and our evening meal in the restaurant was exceptionally good.

The hotel is located within lovely lush trees and greenery, peaceful clean reserved area. The check in desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The downside to this hotel is that the rooms are very dated albeit clean and well kept just look tired and dated for my liking. The bar, again , nice but run down and not so clean, there were a lot of flies and empty dishes around the beer taps and drinks. Given the above, due to where the hotel is located I will give it another go when I'm in the area.
