The receptionist asked if it was a special occasion and we told her it was to celebrate our Anniversary. At dinner we were presented each with a glass of champagne. What a lovely surprise! The Maitre d' hotel and Head Waiter were both French . When I spoke to them in French they joked introducing themselves as 'Grandpere et Pere' arguing in jest who was who. They were absolutely charming and extremely efficient..In fact my husband asked for a suggestion of a reasonably priced wine ( they were all rather expensive). He suggested (and we accepted) a French Malbec, which was reasonably priced and fabulous. Then another surprise was presented to us at the table, a plate with 'Happy Anniversary' written in chocolate! The dinners presented were 'Michelin Star' - absolutely delicious! I cannot recommend this hotel and its staff highly enough. Thank you all for a wonderful memorable stay. We will be back!

Me and my husband married last weekend at Buxted Park hotel and it was the most perfect day we could have ever wished for. From the moment we visited Buxted Park when choosing our venue, the staff were absolutely incredible and we instantly knew it was the place we wanted to marry! Not only because of the beautiful venue and grounds but also that we were blown away instantly by all of the staffs kind and friendly nature, attention to detail, professionalism and attentiveness. This carried through to our wedding day where no task was ever too big or too small. Our wedding planner Becca was outstanding for the months leading up to the wedding and made a stressful process, very stress free! Marc, Jamie, Rob & Duncan were absolutely amazing throughout our wedding day and made everything run perfectly for us. The venue & grounds were beautiful and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how absolutely stunning it was. Many have since said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been too! It truly was the best day of our lives, and we will forever be grateful to Buxted Park for a day we’ll never ever forget. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that is bursting with beauty, comfort, professionalism and care then Buxted is the one! Food is absolutely amazing, rooms and beds are very comfortable and clean, suites are incredible! We wish we could do it all over again. Thank you so much to everyone who made it perfect!

A nice afternoon tea experience which you can take in the orangery or, if the weather is fine, on the terrace. The menu is typical with savoury finger sandwiches and a selection of cakes and scones. I always find the ratio of savoury to sweet is wrong. Too many cakes to fill you up and give you a sugar rush. Personally, I would like to see a choice of breads, such as seeded wholemeal, granary, and sourdough, and in rolls or sliced. Instead it's the usual white or brown and annoyingly with the crust removed. It's what gives bread a taste! The scones were very good and the cakes were a nice selection. I know it's called Afternoon Tea but a choice of coffee would be a nice option. One bit of advice to the head waiter is to impress on the table staff that it is never acceptable to lean across in front of a diner to deliver or take away food, nor to interrupt a diner's conversation to ask a question. Overall, a nice experience in a lovely old building in fabulous grounds.

Fabulous hotel and staff. Great food, wine list, drinks apart from what they ran out of!! Lovely grounds, gardens and views. Walls between rooms a little thin, could hear next doors tv and muffled conversation too easily. Dont stay on a wedding event. Check before you book. Comfy bed and pillows. Easy parking
