The River Centre is a versatile, contemporary conference centre in Tonbridge, Kent, blending character with cutting-edge facilities. On arrival, guests are welcomed into a striking Foyer, with its floor-to-ceiling glass-fronted entrance and sweeping staircase, offering an abundance of natural daylight for daytime events and a captivating atmosphere in the evenings.

Throughout the building, you'll find a range of amenities designed to support your event. An on-site coffee bar is available, with a dedicated speciality barista available to hire for the day, and catering can be arranged to suit your event. For events needing more than the Main Auditorium, a flexible 408 sqm ground floor space offers further breakout and meeting rooms. WiFi is available throughout, and the building is fully accessible, with step-free access, a lift to the upper floor, two accessible toilets, and accessible parking bays on-site.

Located in central Tonbridge, with a direct rail link to London Charing Cross in around 40 to 45 minutes, The River Centre is well connected for both local and London-based bookings.

The Main Auditorium is our largest hire space at The River Centre. It can hold up to 500 people theatre-style, and can be flexibly configured for a variety of layouts, including cabaret, classroom, boardroom, and theatre.

The space is equipped with a d&b audio system, GrandMA lighting control, and a DigiLED screen with ProPresenter, keeping presentations, speakers, and performances clear throughout. Basic AV is included as standard, with production support available for more complex requirements.
