Excellent hotel in a good location, perfect for people travelling by car. Staff were attentive and friendly and the service provided was top class. Bedroom was cosy and all facilities within. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety and long opening times. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will return. Nice and quiet and all family types catered for.

This might be a new hotel. It looks like it might be just wrapping up its construction. Everything seems very new and fresh on the inside. You might double check in advance if you have an electric car as I’m not sure the electric car chargers are completely set up yet. Room is really comfortable. That is fantastic. As you can see, it’s a very large Staff is really friendly, and the breakfast was really good. Internets included and was pretty fast. Nice place

The good... The front desk staff Charlotte, Daniel, Vicky and Amy.. so friendly and fun. Had a great laugh with them winding them up and was great to see a team who were so friendly! The Car park is great, Handy location and really enjoyed the steak at Miller and Carter across the car park. The bad... The breakfast was a bit of a let down. No coffee cups, no napkins, only scrambled eggs, bread drawer was almost empty. Only redeeming feature again was the lovely waitress who collected the plates efficiently with a great big smile! Even the hotel maid said good morning and wished me a good day as I was leaving my room. The staff make this place! A credit to the hotel

This was most likely my first stay at a Holiday Inn. My room on the second floor was very spacious and clean. The only negative was the noise from the surrounding traffic (the A43 and A6183). I had to keep my window closed, which did help. The morning staff, however, were not friendly. They seemed preoccupied with their own conversations and merely stared at me. I arrived at 1:20 p.m. and was told I would have to wait about an hour to check in. The hotel charges a £30 early check-in fee. If I had arrived at 9:00 a.m., that fee might have been a reasonable option, but I was hoping to check in at 2:00 p.m. I ended up waiting. I suspected I was being misled into believing my room wasn't ready. Since their official policy is a 3:00 p.m. check-in, I couldn't really complain. It seems that check-in times are getting later and later. I've seen hotels, especially during the summer, packed with students and families with small children simply waiting to check in. On a beautiful summer day, when you're starting your holiday, being stuck waiting is frustrating. And when it's finally time, there's a massive queue. In my opinion, hotels need to do better.

Unbelievably bad. I was sent to room 230, I got there and the key didn't work and I could hear noises coming from the room. I told reception and they claimed no one else was staying there, but moved me to room 130. The thermostat is broken and its freezing cold. I returned to reception and due to being short staffed and fully booked, they can't come to fix the thermostat or give me a different room. They also admitted that someone else was in Room 230 after originally claiming that room should be empty. So I've paid in the region of £130 to stay in a cold, sterile room with the soundtrack of the A road all night. Update: staff mysteriously managed to find a different room for me to move to where heating is working but at this point I've been up and down with all my stuff 3 times and unable to properly relax after a long drive here, its just not acceptable! Also there are no mugs in this room so I will have to go to reception AGAIN so I can have a cup of tea... Also please hire more staff, your staff are lovely but overstretched and stressed!!! Ultimately resulting in all these mix ups and decision paralysis in resolving guests problems.
