The castle was beautifully restored and transformed into a one-of-a-kind venue, complete with luxury accommodation, glorious grounds and an award-winning restaurant. As a wedding venue, the castle offers you all you could need for a truly memorable day. Our excellent, experienced wedding co-ordinators will be by your side throughout the whole planning process. They will be on hand to offer advice and help, allowing you to relax and enjoy the wedding-planning experience.
We pride ourselves on our attention to detail in every aspect of wedding planning. We will take care of everything, from creating the perfect menus to ensuring the details in your photos are perfect (black cats and all!)
The castle is located just 20 minutes away from historic York and the cosmopolitan City of Leeds. While the unique venue is close to the city, it enjoys a beautiful countryside location.

Me and my (now) husband got married at the outdoor venue here in April. We had the most beautiful day. Everything was perfect and stress free. The staff was there before I even knew I needed them they were amazing! It was according to guest (and us of course) the best wedding they have been to. The wedding coordinator took care of every little detail and I love her for that (thank you, kelly) ! I would highly recommend here for an outdoor wedding ours was in the woodland so everything was only steps away no need for a second location. Thank you to all the staff and Kelly for making our day that extra special.

A stunning place to stay. Beautiful and spacious rooms. Would definitely recommend. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived, but that gave us a chance to explore the castle and grounds. Overall a great stay

Just been to a wedding here and enjoyed every minute. The day before the wedding we ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service. The location was beautiful. Our little girl could run around the grounds as we felt so safe.

The place has a nice ambience about it, yet simultaneously it feels somewhat out of place, it's situated right next to the extremely busy A64? We went here to attend a company fun day, set inside and outside under a marquee, in the grounds of the hotel This was very nice, well mown leaned areas, plus well developed plants and trees as you'd expect at a castle, the castle itself has its own chapel, spa, restaurant and large grounds We were a little disappointed to find an open used pizza box & empty beer glasses, still left on the outdoor tables, this was at 11am?! If it rains, as it was, there's not much to do apart from stay inside the marquee, which is a bit of a drag But there are paid activities such as archery, axe throwing & quad biking sessions All in all a pretty nice place, yet probably not somewhere you'd stay more than once?
