I can’t recommend this museum enough! It’s so well done with fantastic displays and loads to see. There are interactive shows and tours throughout the day from staff demonstrating different armour and weapons. The staff are super knowledgeable! The crossbow shooting was very fun too! The admission is free so it’s definitely worth a visit!

The collection was extremely thorough and impressive. I’ve wanted to go for years and wasn’t disappointed. The layout was really easy to navigate, set over 5 floors. The staff were helpful whenever a question was asked as well as being extremely knowledgable. The museum is suitable for all ages and has lifts making all levels fully accessible. Also I would highly recommend doing the crossbow experience - it’s a lot of fun and the staff were very knowledgeable.

Great free day out The reenactors bring history to life on the hour stories,accounts and facts from periods in time. Plenty to see and do will be returning. Toilets available every other floor. Cafe/coffee shop on ground floor. Lockers available on groundfloor charge £1. We tried the crossbow experience £8 for 8 attempts on target.

Wow! What an amazing place, they have a lot of items. Some of them are more popular culture (like from movies or series), some are older and historical. There is something for everyone. I was slightly disappointed that the glare was sometimes so strong you couldn’t see the items displayed properly. The signage is definitely not helpful and can be dramatically improved too. The gift shop is very cool to visit so don’t skip it.
