I have to give the 24/25 students alot of credit for their support and guidance to students and working incredibly hard i ensure students get the best support at DMU. I also want to wish the 25/26 team the absolute best too. I also give credit for the facilities and the shops as well because i always enjoyed getting things from the university shop especially a drink and i could even grab a bottle of water when i needed to. And i really enjoyed the society nights, awards nights and the Election results wjete you can also find out who the next comittee are for each term. However for the main staff there is a lack of support and lack of guidance and i had issues with societies that because of my sexuality and my gender identity students thought it was okay to accuse me of Sexual harassment and assult that it took your staff exactly 7 weeks to respond telling me what i was being accused of, this meant sudent societies decided it was okay to kick me out of not only socials but training sessions as well (for confidential purposes im not explaining which societies did this) But whenever i needed the support all i get referred to is the mental health and wellbeing team over and over again and the main manager completely ignores you in the union after asking for updates and support. Also, i was kicked out of clubs around Leicester all because of what i was accused of and i asked the Studentgram team for their support to arrange some kind of meeting and support but nothing was done about this and i spent so long feeling anxious and havinf mental breakdowns because i didnt know what to do and when i explained this the events manager of studentgram did absolutely nothing but turn me away everytime. In return i ask that anyone else coming yo DMU or returns to DMU is to be mindful of these situations and be aware that students can turn against you and i hope im return you can recieve the correct support during your university and Society experience. Thank you Carley
